You stayed still in Sapnap's arms for a long time, rather pretending to be unconscious than walk. You couldn't tell what time had past, only marking it by the conversations the group had.

"I'm tired." Sapnap groaned, still oblivious that you were awake. You felt his arms twist and adjust the position they were holding you.

"Wake them up." Dream said.

"Nah. They're kinda cute when they're asleep." Sapnap said.

Your stomach somersaulted. Cute? He thought you were cute? Why? You couldn't wrap your head around the reasoning to compliment a so called 'possession.'

"Don't get close to them." Dream said. You heard George sigh. Even his sigh was accented.

"Why do we even need some villager to fight for us?" He asked. "We're a lot more powerful than L'Manburg anyways. We have Punz, and we could get Purpled if we tried."

"It does seem kind of pointless, Dream." Sapnap contributed. Dream laughed.

"They're not for fighting. They're a body. Either L'Manburg kills them, or they sympathize with them, and then we can strike."

Sapnap's grip on you grew tighter. "Dream,"

"It wouldn't be our fault if they died. You wouldn't doubt me, would you? We're friends."

"Can we at least train them to fight?" George asked.

"Are you attached to them? It's been hours?" Dream retorted.

"We have morals, Dream. We can't just leave someone innocent out to die." Sapnap said. His grip on you grew increasingly tighter.

"Fine. You want to train them? Go ahead. But the war is in three days. Don't waste your time." Dream said.

Sapnap sighed. "Yeah."

"We're almost back!" George exclaimed, trying to lift the mood, but the tension between Dream and Sapnap dampened the mood.

Your mood was dampened beyond what could be thought possible. You were only bought to die or to screw over the enemy of which you knew nothing about. You were a pawn in the plan of these sociopaths, and even worse, one of them seemed to care for you?

This entire situation was so confusing and disheartening that you wished it was a dream, you wished to wake up in your bed like you had just this morning, and see your friends again.

But the ache in your body warned you that you were stuck in a painful reality. And there would be no intervention of fate or subconscious to save you.

"Finally, we're back." Dream said, sounding annoyed. You heard blocks breaking and a door swinging open, before a change in temperature and environment told you that you had come to their base of operations.

"Finally." A foreign voice said. Sapnap put you down on a soft surface, maybe a bed? You couldn't quite tell. "That's them? Why are they sleeping?" The unknown man said.

"A creeper blast got past Sapnap's shield." George said. "Has anything happened?"

"Well." You could hear a grin in the man's voice. "Eret came to me."

"What?!" Dream yelled. Sapnap groaned.

"What do you mean?" George asked.

"He's on our side. He wants to talk with you, Dream. He's waiting in the armory."

"Punz, that's brilliant." George said.

"I was ready to fight a bitch." Sapnap said.

You could hear Dream's heavy footsteps get quieter, leaving four of you in whatever room you were in. You decided to fake awakening, to open your eyes and pretend confusion.

You sat up, rubbing your eyes and observing your surroundings. You were on a white bed, in a room constructed by stone brick. There was little decoration and the only light from torches, but it still felt homely. Sapnap and George had failed to notice you, but the man you assumed to be Punz did. He wore a hoodie under a nearly full set of armor.

"They're awake." Punz said, pointing at you.

Sapnap and George turned, both smiling.

"Hey y/n!" George said.

Sapnap walked over, sitting down on the bed next to you. "How are you feeling."

You felt a bit embarrassed, although you couldn't exactly place why. Your cheeks flushed red.

"Fine." You said.

"Cool, uh, later we'll head to the armory to train for the war, right now, you should get some food."

You nodded. Your stomach was longing for food, but you had figured you wouldn't get any the moment they walked through the door. You were happy for a meal.

"Here, follow me, I think I left some mutton in the furnace."

You nodded, mimicking his fast pace. The entire place was stone, ominous and disheartening. You wished for fresh air again, hating the confines of the base. You had no idea how to leave though, stupidly had having your eyes closed when you entered.

You sat down on a crafting table when Sapnap stopped at a lit furnace, reaching his hands in to retrieve some food. He handed you three pieces of mutton.

You slowly ate, as he sat on the floor below you.

"Ask it." Sapnap said after resounding silence. He sensed your curiosity.

What question would you ask? Or, rather, which one could you ask without getting beat within an inch of your life?

"Why the name Sapnap?" You asked. Often, once people had left the villages, they would choose a new name for themselves. It's how you often heard of people like CaptainSparklez, or Snifferish.

"Well, when me and Dream were kids I was crazy obsessed with Pandas after seeing one smuggled into the village. It was insane for 6 year old me. And Dream said that Pandas backwards was Sapnap, so then the nickname stuck."

"Isn't pandas backwards... uh, Sadnap?" You asked. He grinned.

"That's why it stuck. 'Cause Dream's a dumbass."

You nodded. "Dream is kind of a dick."

Sapnap laughed. "Yeah. But he has his moments."

You stared at him with an eyebrow raised. Maybe he was cold around you, but nothing about him felt genuine to you. He was calculated, like he had given his up his humanity for a touch of calculated insanity. Maybe he was just cold, cautious in times of war, but something about him made you hate him. It might be irrational, but your gut told you something you couldn't ignore. Besides, you didn't get this weird gut feeling around Sapnap or George. You didn't trust them, but they felt humane.

Sapnap coughed, uncomfortable. "How's the mutton?"

"It's good." You said. You finished the last piece, grateful for the saturation. You could feel yourself healing with the new burst of energy.

"Ready to go train?" Sapnap asked, grinning. You nodded.

"Prepare to get your ass beat."
