Chapter 9

ASHI'S POV:

"So you do know how to use a door" I say to him and he stares at me for a while but then he tightens his grip on my hands and "Let's go" with a smirk on his face. "Where are we going exactly?" I ask him as we walk upstairs "Would you just walk?" Manav say to me and I reply "Am I not walking?"

"You"re wierd you know that don't you?" Manav say to me as we enter the rooftop. "And you're the one to say I'M WIERD?" I mock him. "God you really are irritating" He say to me and I reply "Is this it? I mean this is where you wanted to take me?" and he reply "Let's just sit there" pointing at the edge of the rooftop and I immediately jerk my hand from his "Absolutely no!!"

"You're scared aren't you?" He raise a brow at me and I reply "NO!! I'm just....I just"

"Haha so you're scared of something" He say to me as he walk and sit on the edge. God I'm terrified but I don't want to give him another reason to tease me. I walk towards the edge and sit beside him. He scoffs. "What?" I ask him "Nothing" he replies and I can see he's trying to hide his smile. I look in front of me and I can see the whole city from here, The lights are bright it's beautiful. I look up there aren't many stars but the sky is clear and the moon is shinning.

After minutes of enjoying the beautiful view in silence "I don't want to be the leader" He say and I look at him he's looking at the view. "I never asked for any of this!" He say and I'm confused. "Are you okay?" I ask him and he looks at me, he stares at me and then he smiles "How do you feel after knowing the truth?" he say and I reply "I don't know" I take a deep breathe and I say again "Somewhere deep down I always knew something was missing I still do but I'm also relieved that atleast now I know-" I'm stopped midsentence when he say "You know nothing" I don't say anything because I don't know what to say. He swing his hand in the air and my mind goes straight to something similar HIS SWORD!! He's holding a sword in his hand. "You're not going to kill me or something ARE YOU?" I ask him and he starts laughing. Is he mentally okay I'm doubting it now. "This is the first reason I don't want to be the head" He tells me, his hands are on his sword. "You do know I can't understand you right?" I tell him, and he looks at me again waving his sword behind him and the sword disappears, that's really cool tho! "That's the reason I'm telling you" He say to me and I reply "That's mean"

"You'll get used to it" He say and I pull my tounge out to tease him like a five year old, huh there we go he's laughing again . "Why exactly you don't want to be the head?" I ask him and he stops laughing, he looks at me "There are things no one knows, and I can't even figure them out myself too" he replies and I don't understand what he's trying to say. "uhm, can you say it in English again" I tease him.

"I'm not like everyone" He say to me and I reply "what do you mean? You're not a protector?"

"huh, I'm" he say "Then?" I reply

"Forget it you won't understand. Forget I even said that" He say and there's a change in his expressions I can't read it. "Okay" I say to him as I stand on my feet. "Where are you going?" He ask and I reply "To my room" He doesn't say anything I walk towards the door He doesn't follow me nor he said anything. I leave the roftoop. I walk to my room I grab my phone from my bed there are few text from my friends I reply them saying THANKYOU, and it reminds me again that it's my birthday today. I lay on my bed and I fall asleep.

AASHNA'S POV:

I look at my phone to check the time its 9 am I look beside me Unnati is still sleeping. Last night we came back to our room really late I think it was almost 3 in the morning. I wonder everyone woke up or not. I step out of my bed I go to the bathroom. As I walk back from the bathroom after the long shower I took, Unnati isn't here. I fix my makeup a lil before heading out of the room. I walk downstairs to the kitchen for my coffee but I hear something, I walk faster and I see Sanket doing something, I can only see his back so I don't know what he is doing. He turns back holding two cups in his hand. He looks up at me giving me a wierd look he says "Tanzeel is still asleep and Manav is taking a call and I don't know about the pretty girl"

"Oh kay" I reply and he looks at me "Do .. uhm do you want something?"

"yaa I just wanted some coffee." I reply to him and he says "You can have this" and hands me a cup. It's black coffee PERFECT!! "Thankyou" I reply and Manav joins us in the kitchen "Good morning" He say to me and takes the other cup from Sanket's hand and sits on the table. I look at Sanket and he looks away He's making coffee again. "Where's Unnati?" Manav ask me, I join him on the table and I reply "I don't know she wasn't in the room when I came out of the shower"

"Talking about me?" Unnati voice travels from the back I turn back She's wearing a loose shirt and shorts and her hairs are wet, I think she just came out of the shower. "I need your help with something" Manav say to Unnati as he takes a sip from his coffee. Unnati and Sanket joins us on the table.

"Are you still on your speech?" Unnati ask Manav and he reply "I wasn't talking about the speech."

"Then?" Unnati raise a brow at him. "Uhm .. Nothing" He murmers.

"oh kay but here's a suggestion Do not make your speech long, you don't even have to. Just remember the oath and that's it, You don't want to bore everyone in the room." Unnati tells Manav and I chuckle, Manav looks at me and he say "WHAT?" I reply "nothing" Unnati laughs, Sanket is drinking his coffee and I'm reminded of the old days Manav and Unnati are always like this. Unnati knows him better than himself even when he doesn't share Unnati always picks up. One thing about Manav is he can never lie like never but he's one hell of a manipulator. I take another sip from my coffee and the door bell rings. "I'll check" Unnati tells us and she walk towards the main door. Few minutes later Unnati joins us back but someone else is with her too. I think I've seen him before, I can't recall but I've a feeling that I've met him before.

"Addy" Manav say aloud as he stands up from his chair and hugs the guys and I remember He's Addy we've met on few assignments and Manav mentioned him in his conversations alot of time. Addy looks at me and I stand up from my chair "Hii, nice to see you again" he say to me and I reply "same here"

"This is Sanket" Manav say to him pointing at Sanket, Sanket stands up and shakes hand with Addy. Manav wishpers "He's a Black swan" and Sanket give him a look saying I can hear you. Addy smiles and he says "Where's my sister?" wait what Sister oh my god He's Ashi's brother. "She's still asleep I guess" Manav replies. "Seriously it's her birthday and she's still asleep!" Addy say and we all reply at the same time "WHAT?" except Sanket, I look at him and it looks like he already knew it. "Woah so you all didn't knew?" Addy say to us and we all just just look at each other. Sanket says stepping aside from us "I knew it!" Our eyes follow him and Unnati ask him "When did you two got this close?" Manav turns to Unnati I can't see his expressions but I can tell he's bit angry with the choice of Unnati's word. God his back is giving me chilly vibes.

Addy is staring at all of us he's confused I guess, Tanzeel joins us "Good morning guys" He say to all of us and "Woah oh, Look who's finally here" He say when his eyes meets Addy's. He hugs him and "How are you?" Addy ask him as he hugs him back. "Handsome as ever" They both laugh and Tanzeel look at all of us "No comments today?" He says and none of us reply "woo ooh what's with the chilly vibe?" He say and his eyes follow Manav. "What?" Manav ask him "what"s with you?" Tanzeel reply Manav's doesn't say anything back but he's looking behind Tanzeel, Ashi is walking towards us. Her eyes sparkles when she see her brother, she walks faster and hug her brother, Addy places a warm kiss on her forhead, aww that's really cute. "When did you get here?" Ashi ask him and he reply "Just few mins ago" She can't stop smiling, this is the first time I'm seeing her smile like this, eversince she came. "anyways HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIL ONE" Addy says to his sister "Thankyou" she replies. "Just wait a sec" Addy says and he walks out few second later he's back with flowers on his hands "There your favourite" he says while giving it to Ashi and she says "Thankyou" with sparkle in her eyes, God her eyes are sparkling too much now. Sanket comes in front of "Happy Birthday Pretty one" He says and gives a light hug to her she replies "Thankyou" seriously when did THIS TWO GOT THIS CLOSE??!!

"Hey Happy Birthday AK and sorry I did remember your birthday but I fogot that it's today" Tanzeel tells us and she replies "It's fine thankyou tho". Unnati and I wish her and we complain about why didn't she tell us earlier about her birthday while Manav just walks out of the place saying nothing.
