Chapter 11

ASHI'S POV:
I slowly open my eyes, everything is blur I blink rapidly,I find myself on a bed and I can hear Manav and the pretty girl from the stage earlier at the ceremony talking, I’m sure it’s the pretty girls voice because she had a thick accent. I lift myself up and Manav quickly grab my hand and help me, I lay on the headboard and I don’t why my forhead is hurting. “You okay?” Manav ask me and I reply “Yes I think so, just a lil headache”
“Aah you hit your head pretty hard when you fell earlier in front of the tree” The girl with the thick accent tells me and I remember the tree calling me, then I touched it and nothing it’s all black, it's like a gap on my memories. “Why were you there?” Manav ask me and I don’t reply anything. “So what’s your special power?” The girl with accent ask me again and now I’m annoyed, not on her but I’m annoyed because I can’t remember what happened after I touched that tree and how I ended here on someone’s bed. “Hey everything fine?” Manav ask me again and this time I burst out “No, I’m not fine nothing is fine!! PROTECTOR, BLACK SWAN, PROTECTION SPELL, SWORDS, Fine is far from it, I’m a fucking protector or whatever you guys are and YOU asking me what’s my special power which I’ve no idea what you’re talking about and YOU the one with two swords, stop asking me If I’m fine or not ofcourse I’m not fine” I tell them and I take a deep breathe.
“You’ve two swords? How??” The girl with the accent ask Manav and oh my god after all I said, two swords is the only thing she heard What the actual fuck!!! I don’t usually curse but I’ve had enough! “Can you wait outside?” Manav replies to her and she raise a brow at him and my mouth automatically says “Please take your lover quarrel somewhere else, I’ve had enough for today that tree calling my name and with all the information I got to knew about me in the past 2 days is enough, I’m having the best birthday so please get the hell out and leave me alone”
“THE TREE WAS CALLING YOU?” The girl ask again and JESUS CHRIST, now she’s annoying me
“Vee” Manav says and looks at her “LEAVE NOW” he adds. And the girl with the accent finally leaves the room. Manav sits on the side of the bed and he chuckles “Seriously?” I ask him and he replies “You reminded me of something” He replies “WHAT?” I ask him and he looks up at me and says “Vee reacted the same as you did now when I found her, aah ofc the situation was different but the reaction was the same”
“Vee?” I ask him even after knowing who he was talking about he just called the girl with the accent with that name “Yeah, the one who you just yelled at” He replies with a smirk on his face “And btw we’re not lovers” He adds with the air quotes gesture with his hand and I ignore him and stay quiet.
“Here’s your phone” He tells me and hands me my phone, I grab my phone from his hand “You know we still have time” I look at him “For your birthday” He says knowing the question already. “Ohh” I reply
“Yeah we should leave now” He says to me and I ask him “Where?”
“Well I’m not throwing a party for your birthday so just home” He says and I instantly reply “I don’t even expect a party from the guy who didn’t even wished me” He smiles and says “Well let’s go then it’s past 7 already”
“Wait what past 7, how long was I out?” I ask him curiously and he replies “30 minutes or something” He replies and stands up “Now do not start with any other question, Everyone already left and it’s really been a long day so please get up and we’ll leave” He adds, I stand up I fix my dress, he’s standing by the door now, I walk to the door and we walk outside “Just a sec” He say to me when we reach in the operating room or whatever it is called Just a minute later he’s back and he’s not alone, the girl with the accent is with him. “Let’s go” He say and I just walk. We sit in the car I’m sitting in the front with Manav who is driving and Vee is sitting in the back seat, I look outside of the window and I curiously ask “How come it’s just a building with a big yard from the outside and from the inside it’s the opposite, I mean it’s huge, like really huge which even has a glass shed” and Vee replies putting her head in between the seats “It’s because of the tree you saw”
I look at her and then Manav “That tree is the one protecting us from the outside world” He says to me and “Whatever happened today don’t tell your brother or anyone about it” He adds “Why?” I ask him “because they don’t need to know, I’ll tell them when they should” He tells me “And YOU do not say a word to Addy about this” He says to Vee and she replies “I know”
“Wait you know my brother?” I ask her and she replies “Yes ofc, they saved my life” 
“Saved your life?” I ask and she replies again “YEAH, your brother and him” she looks at Manav and then me again “I was practically kidnapped by a demon and I’d no idea what the hell was that thing, it was terrifying but these two came and saved my life” she says to me and I’m just staring at her DEMON? SERIOUSLY?  “and btw I didn’t even knew I was a protector when the demon kidnapped me” she adds and I still am confused with the word demon so I don’t response to her.
“Enough of the demon talk and listen you I’ll answer to your every question, Ik you have a lot so for today  just enjoy your party!” Manav says to me and Vee stares at him and he corrects himself “I mean your rest of the birthday” I ignore both of them and I look outside again. Minutes later we’re home! Manav is texting someone and that someone is Tanzeel I can clearly see he’s hiding from me but he lacks skills. I walk out of the car and so does Vee, Manav is still texting. I walk to the door.

TANZEEL’S POV:
“Guys she’s here, Turn off the lights” I say to everyone. I open the main door and AK walks in with someone I’m guessing it’s Manav, but it’s not when Ashi flashes her phone’s flashlight right at me and “Why is it so DARK here?” Vee’s voice travels through my ears and I slide AK’s hand to the other side and I say “The lights are out” They walk in a little more and everyone shouts “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” the lights are on we decorated the living room with pink balloons and the birthday stuff, it's Princess theme I think. I look at AK she’s shocked and all teary “Hey Happy Birthday” I say to her and she hugs me and then everyone in the room, she’s really happy and for the first time I don’t mind tears from someone’s eyes. We also called her friend Rishabh well Addy did. Manav walks in he's joins us and AK says "So this is what you were texting about" looking at Manav, "You knew?" He ask her, she replies "well not exactly, but you lack skills" and we all say "MANAVVV!" at the same time.
