Chapter 14

ASHI'S POV:

"what kind of vision?" Manav asks and walk towards me

"I didn't really remember it until I saw Sanket's friend earlier" I tell him and he is looking at me , curiously waiting for me to tell more I guess so. I start again by saying "I was inside the tree I guess!"

"what do you mean you were inside the tree?" He replies

"I don't know I just have a feeling that I was"

"well okay so what happened in there?" he ask as he sit back on the bed

"I saw myself or someone disguised as me, she said something about the future and she had a sword.." I was interrupted when he says "WHAT SWORD?" as he stands again, even closer than before to me, I take a step back and look out of the window the sun has just risen and its so beautiful.

"Ashi I asked you something" Manav voice travel through my ears and he's now standing on the other side of the window I look at him the rays of the sun is making his face shine, he waves his hand in front of his face and I say to him "I don't know why and how I became a part of all this it's too much for me" and I look back outside of the window.

He stays silent for a minute or two then continues "You know this isn't really so hard all you need is to understand that you're just like the others you can do everything they can but you're more than that you're special. You can accept the fact that you've a gift to experience some really crazy and different things or you can take it as a curse and struggle, it's your choice" he says and my head turns to him he's looking out of the window I don't know how and why but his words are really comforting.

"I saw you killing that warlock, you stabbed him with the sword" I tell him and he looks at me I know he wants to know everything so I just take a deep breath and tell him everything I saw after touching the tree.

AUTHOR'S POV:

Everyone have questions in their mind but no one is asking anyone anything. There's one person in the room who have answers to every question but no one knows. Manav asked everyone to gather in the main room. He have a lot to ask from the guy who claims he's a warlock and who he stabbed in Ashi's dream or whatever it was. He asked Ashi not to tell anyone about the sword or the vision specially to her brother. Everyone is in the room now standing around the table, everything is turned on in the room, all the devices are functioning. Vee is trying to read everyone's mind one by one and she is coughing, actually she's hiding her laugh. Manav is doing something on the computer device on the table.

"So how long do we've to stand here?" Arsh ask dramatically.

"Not too long" Manav replies as he looks up 

"What exactly are you doing?" Addy asks Manav and he replies "I want to tell you all something"

"We're listening" Unnati replies

"The sword exists and it is here somewhere" Manav says and everyone gasps except Ashi and Arsh.

Ashi was flustered by his words as he was the one who told her not to tell anyone about it and here he was telling everyone and on the other hand Arsh smirked as if he knew everything and saw this coming.

"How's this possible?" Addy asks Manav  

"It is possible because the one who can wield it exists and is right here with us" Manav replies as he looks at Ashi and everyone turns their head to Ashi who is as shocked as everyone. 

"I knew you were special" Vee says to Ashi and Manav says "Yes she is! she found Icarus (the tree in the base) when even none of you can and-" He was cut midsentence when Vee says raising her hand  "I can" 

"That's because you've found your imperium (the special power everyone have and it's different for all the protectors) " Addy tells her 

"but how do you know that?" Tanzeel ask his brother and Manav tells all of them the vision Ashi had, he missed the part where he stabs Arsh everyone is so confused except Arsh. 

"So this is why you sent me here, you knew everything don't you?" Sanket asks his friend and he just nods in return. "You know more than that don't you?" Aashna asks him and everyone looks at him "Yeah I do" Arsh replies 

"What exactly are you and what do you know?" Addy asks Arsh with a threatning look "Cool down mate, I know you don't trust me yet but you have to because you all need my help" Arsh replies as he chuckles and he says again "oh btw I really am a thousand year old Warlock" 

"I think I'm not gonna get paid for anything now" Sanket mumble under his breathe as no one hears what he just said, he looks at Arsh who is standing next to him he raise a brow at him. Vee on the other side was now so focused on Sanket when he mentioned money she could easily hear his thoughts and she was now even concerned knowing Black Swans get paid for their job so what and why Sanket is here to do.

"What do you know?" Unnati ask Arsh and he replies "What do you want to know fairy?" 

"Well why don't you start with how Sanket ended right in the backyard of  my house?" Tanzeel ask him and with his mischievous smile he replies "He's here to protect the only one who can wield the sword made in the dawn" 

"Ashi?" Addy replies and he nods and continue "Yes and before you all ask again you should know that I was the one who placed the protection spell on Ashi when she was just a toddler. Sanket's father who is the most skilled Swan I've ever known  promised Ashi's mother to protect Ashi from what's coming and Sanket being his son is now responsible for Ashi's safety." 

"MOM!!" Ashi and Addy say at the same time

"WHY WASN'T I TOLD ABOUT ANY OF THIS?" Sanket ask Arsh who was about to say something but got interrupted as Vee groans "OH BLOODY HELL!" everyone's attention is now shifted to her "What's wrong?" Manav ask her being concerned "Nothing it's just this is going to take a lot of time and I can't stand anymore" Vee replies
"Okay then we all should move outside to the living room" Addy tells everyone and they all look at Manav "yes sure" he mumble and everyone walk to the living room.
