part thirteen:

Jay looked down the hallway to his right and then to the left at all of the students walking past him. There was one particular face he was looking for but he didn't see it, no matter how much he looked around. It worried him so much as he began to tap away at the floor with his shoe, his hands gripping at the sleeves of his blazer. He wasn't sure why but it made him uneasy whenever Jungwon wasn't in his sight, especially for long lengths. He was truly afraid he would lose Jungwon again.

The younger and Jay were supposed to walk together to the cafeteria to get lunch but the other was nowhere in sight. They promised to meet at most five minutes after the bell so they could walk up together. It was already almost 10 minutes into their lunch break and Jungwon still didn't walk down the hallway. Did he have more important things to do? Jay sighed as he began to walk down towards the cafeteria with a little slouch in his back, frowning a little.

"Hyung!" He heard from behind him, the voice obviously exasperated, and quick footsteps could be heard coming from behind him. There Jungwon stood with a slight smile on his face, eyebrows attracted towards each other in worry. But Jay had all of his answers without Jungwon explaining when he saw the light red stain on his white button-up. "I'm really sorry I'm late. I was talking with Ni-ki and Sunoo hyung when Ni-ki bumped Sunoo's juice onto me. I—I was in the bathroom cleaning up the best I could" He was a little bit out of breath from running up to him.

"Are you alright?" Jay asked, trying his best not to laugh at him. Jungwon was stood in front of him, gasping for air. More like hunched over with his hands on his knees but it still was cute, Jungwon ran the whole way to him. "Breathe, come on let's get you some water Wonie" "Yes please" Jungwon then was dragged all the way to the cafeteria by Jay, complaining from time to time about the stain on his shirt.

Jungwon sat on his bed, looking at a terrified Jay. The older was holding one of his pillows tightly in his arms, one of his hands pointing towards his closet. "I SWEAR, SOMETHING MOVED OVER THERE" Jay yelled, eyes searching Jungwon's face to see if he would panic as well. The younger couldn't lie, he was also afraid but the sight of Jay being afraid was too funny to even begin to process what he was pointing at.

Jungwon was also pretty bad at enduring scary situations or moments where something creepy would happen. But seeing Jay this terrified made him brave enough to stand from his spot to go and check his closet. "I'm just letting you know, if something happens, I'm running and not taking you with me" Jay stated which only made Jungwon laugh harder. "Wow, I'm over here being brave and checking it out. And you say that? How rude" He playfully rolled his eyes and Jay laughed along with him.

There was another thud at the closet door and a ruffle of his clothes. This was when Jungwon was beginning to get more afraid and backed up a little when the thudding became louder. "O—Okay, I'm going to open the closet now" Jungwon reached for the handle and quickly opened it with one tug, Jay was quick to close his eyes and hug the pillow even tighter.

"Maeumi!" The younger suddenly exclaimed excitedly, bending down to reach for the small dog. Jay slowly opened his eyes to see Jungwon with an adorable small white dog in his arms. "Maeumi must've been in there when I opened it to put my blazer back inside a few minutes ago." He laughed and went to sit next to Jay with the dog in his arms. "I believe I didn't introduce you yet. This is Maeumi!" The younger placed down his dog with a wide smile on his face. The two of them watched as the small figure ran around the bed before rushing up to Jay, smelling at his hand which was still tightly clasped around the pillow in his arms.
