TWO WEEKS, THAT'S HOW long it's been since Elvira last saw Gajeel, seeing him during the Harvest Festival. Yet, it didn't feel as though two weeks have passed, then again Elvira's been so busy the last two weeks she hadn't thought about how much time has gone by. For the last two weeks, she's spent most of her time working and training, both of which she's done accompanied by Laxus.

When Elvira had asked Laxus to stay a little longer, she never expected him to stay for two weeks, nor did she expect to spend so much time with the man. However, Elvira can't say she regretted a single moment of it, because in those two weeks not only did she gain another friend, but she got stronger. In just two weeks, Elvira was able to expand her energy detection field by two inches. While some may not consider it a lot, Elvira sure did, and she knew that if she kept training the number would only get higher and higher.

During her training with Laxus, she was able to find a perfect regiment that allowed her to push herself without causing herself any physical harm. Not to mention, she was able to fit it in her ever-so-busy schedule, allowing her time not only to work, but to spend time with Rogue, Totomaru, and the others at the orphanage. For once since learning that somebody has been watching her for years Elvira felt confident in her abilities. She felt confident that she would able to protect everyone she cared about, and it was all thanks in part to Laxus.

So when she and Laxus parted ways yesterday, she couldn't help but feel sad. A part of her wanted Laxus to stay more than just a little longer, but she wouldn't let him know that. She knew that he had his own journey to go on, so she couldn't be selfish, she had to let him go. Besides, Elvira knew that if fate connected them once, it would connect them again. Plus, Laxus promised to see her again, so she knew if fate wouldn't connect them, it would be each other. They had bonded a lot over two weeks, so seeing each other again was a given, and Elvira knew that, especially after Laxus' final words.

"I'll see you, Elvira."

Elvira, he called her Elvira, something had yet to do before their recent departure. She had tried telling him her name the night of the Fantasia parade, but he stopped her, believing he was not worthy of knowing it. And even after he learned her name, via Totomaru and Rogue, he still refused to call her by her name. Despite this, Elvira didn't push him, she was okay with being known as "delivery girl," but she couldn't help but hope, hope that he would call her Elvira. So when he finally did, Elvira felt warm, she felt happy. Never once had she felt so happy with somebody calling her Elvira, a name that wasn't even truly her own. Yet, at that moment, for once in a long while, she felt connected to the name, and she wanted nothing more than to hear him say it again.

"Elvira. Elvira. Elvira."

"Elvira! Elvira!" the voice got louder, and louder, but more importantly, unfamiliar. "Are you listening to me? You damn idiot! Elvira!"

"OW!" Elvira exclaims upon feeling something hard hit her head, snapping her back in reality. "Gajeel? What you do that for?"

"You spaced out on me," he reveals. "I've been calling you for the last five minutes. You were the one who invited me out, remember? And why are you all red? Are you sick? I told you hanging with those little snot-nosed brats would only get you sick. Children are nothing but disease-spreading parasites."

Gajeel, the last time she saw him was two weeks ago at the parade, and the last time they spoke they cleared up the tension. Not to mention, they agreed to postpone spending time with one another until a time they were both free. So after two weeks of nothing but work and training, Elvira was finally free to make do with the raincheck. Yoro, after being gone for two weeks, had returned earlier today, as his mother had gotten better.
