Chapter 4: Fun Times

Today was the day after I woke up with my hand basically gone. It's currently Saturday and I've been thinking why this happened. Maybe it has something to do with being me in the game? Or maybe it's Monika that's doing this to me?

I hear a buzz on my phone, it is Sayori. I wonder what she wants at this time. I answer the phone. "Yeah what's up?" I asked.

"Monika set up a club hangout and wondering if you'll come?" She said. Well I guess it wouldn't be to bad with this hand situation. This is a bit to much for me.

"Yeah sure, where are we meeting?"

"At the amusement park."

"Alright on my way."

I hang up the phone and got dressed. I put on a red shirt with some shorts and sandals. With the hand problem, I put some gloves on to cover it. Hopefully no one pays too much attention to it. I grabbed my phone before I left and went out the door. I then made my way to the amusement park.

On the way there, I remember when Sayori kissed my cheek. I wonder if it meant anything.. I mean I do like her but.. should I be dating someone in a game? When I arrived I looked around to find the group. "Hey over here!" I hear.

I look that way to see Sayori waving me over. I run over. "Hey guys, why are we meeting here?" I ask.

"We are here to hangout because of how stressful school is right now. You know, just to release stress." Monika responded.

Yeah I guess huh, I kinda do need to get my mind off things. We all look around for a ride we want to get on. We stopped at one that went all the way up in the sky then back down. Everyone gets in line for the ride. Yuri and Natsuki seemed a bit nervous about it as well.

I look at Sayori. For a bit I couldn't get myself to look away until she catches my eyes and then I quickly look away slightly blushing. I hear her giggle. Why did I do that? Do I actually like her? Then it was our time to go, we all sat in our seats and put our safety belts on. The roller coaster went up and up until it was at the top.

"Wow! I can see everything from here!" Sayori said excited.

"Oh I can see the school!" Monika said as she pointed at it.

I can say this is such a beautiful view. I didn't know there could be this much in this game. it is kinda like another world or universe. Natsuki looked like she was scared for her life. Yuri looked quite calm about it surprisingly.

Unexpectedly, we start going down which caught us off guard. We scream as we go down then back to the station. We get off the coaster and then Natsuki had to go to the bathroom. Yuri went with her just to check on her.

"That was so cool!" Sayori said.

Monika looked at me then my gloves on my hands. "Hey Mike, why are you wearing gloves?" Shs asked curiously.

I start to get nervous. What should I say? "Oh um.." I said as I look at them.

"Just a new thing people are doing! You know tryna stay on that new meta hehe.." I said as they both look at me like I was crazy.

Monika nodded, "Yeah I know what you mean!" We laugh a little and Sayori looked convinced enough so we walked it off.

Natsuki and Yuri joined us looking happy and blushing a bit. I don't know why I'm thinking something happened between them but maybe it's just me. We then went on more rides. One where it went super fast and in circles. Another was one where you go up and down fast as well.

I don't understand how that even works. For our last stop we all decided to go get some food. We all got food and sat at a table. I sat by Sayori since I feel more comfortable to.

I got some fries and nuggets, Sayori got a noodles, Monika got salad, Yuri got hash browns, and Natsuki got a cheese burger. I'm pretty surprised my self this amusement park has all kinds of food here. "You guys ever heard of the festival that's coming?" Monika asked. We all shook our heads.

"Well it's a festival that's happening soon to celebrate really." Monika said.

"Really? That's cool." I responded. The festival? Isn't that close when the game ends? If so that's not to far from now.

"What's going to happen?" Natsuki asked.

"From what I've heard there's going to be club activities for to show interest for the club." Monika said. "So maybe we can have some part of that. Like poems?"

"Well that really isn't a bad idea, we can maybe get people who like it to join." Sayori said.

Monika nodded then we started talking about stage fright and how we can help with that. I just told them to imagine everyone in their underwear and they all laughed. It wasn't really funny but they probably haven't heard it before.

We all settled on doing poems for the festival and decided to call it a day. It was 8pm so we all went our separate ways. But, me and Sayori walked home together like usual. "Hey.. Do you think it will be like this forever?" Sayori asked.

I look at her, "What do you mean?"

"Like all of us hanging out, going to places together and just doing everything together." She answered. Now that I think about it, wouldn't the game just end eventually? I don't think it'll keep going, it just doesn't add up why I'm here though. I think it is near the time I talk to Monika about this. I need answers.

"Well.. Yeah most definitely!" I said.

"Really?" She said as she looked back at me.

"Yeah! As long as we stay together I doubt anything will happen with the crew." I answered. I don't know but I might of lied there. There's got to be some way to stop the game from ending.

Sayori smiled and giggled a little. "You know.. you've changed a lot with the time we've spent going to club meetings." I smile too nodding. I wonder how the main character actually acted before then.

"You seem so nice now, and it's good to know your ok" She said as we stopped at our houses.

"You too." I responded. She blushed and waved me goodbye and went inside. I do the same and went into my room. I take my gloves off to look at my hand and it's gotten a bit worse. Yeah, tomorrow I need to talk to Monika or this can turn out very bad.
