Chapter 11: Happiness

"Guys, gather up." The rest sit at their desks while I stand beside Monika.

"Yuri I know you are not aware yet but, hear us out." Monika says. Yuri looks at all of us concerned and confused.

"Wait what are you talking about?" Yuri asks.

"Today was the last day in this game and it's finally time to leave." Monika announces.

Sayori, looking a bit worried.

"Already? I'm really gonna miss this place.." Sayori says. I don't blame her though, being raised and making memories in your original home then suddenly leaving like this. If we even stay the game can possibly delete or restart itself because how much we've messed up the script.

"It's alright Sayori, we have to leave, it's better for our safety." I tell her. She nods. Natsuki looks like she is completely fine with it. Yuri is looking confused and just trying to process things.

"When you all are ready to leave, meet me at the stairs to the upper floor." Monika announces as she walks out the clubroom.

"Hey Mike, come outside the clubroom for a second." Sayori tells me as she leaves the clubroom and I follow.

She stops and looks at me.

"Just in case if anything goes wrong and we somehow don't make it out.. I just wanted to say.. I-I love you!" Sayori says to me as she stuttered. I blush and so does she. I move more closer towards her as I smile. I lay my hand on her cheek as she holds on to it.

"I love you too, Sayori. I hope I get to spend every second with you." I say as Sayori smiles back at me as she blushes having her whole face turned red. I look into her beautiful blue sky eyes. I lean in closer to her face going in for a kiss. My heart begins to race. I can feel her light breath hit my face as she close her eyes and so do I.

Our lips touch kissing. In this moment, I feel so light and tigglely inside. Sayori's grip tighten on my arm a bit. I love this girl, she can make me feel like this. So loved.. and yet so happy. After what felt like a heavenly eternity, we pull away as we stare in each other's eyes blushing.

"Mike.. thank you for caring for me and giving me hope to live.. you completely changed my life and I'm happy to have you by my side. " Sayori says to me. I give her a bright smile.

"No problem, Sayori. I thank you too for helping me overcome some of my problems too." I respond to her. She nods.

"We should get back now, Mikey." Sayori tells me. I nod in agreement as I hold her hand entering the clubroom. I see Yuri still looking confused.

"I told her everything." Natsuki says.

"Oh alright. Well are you guys ready to go?" I ask.

"Yeah, just give us a second I also got something else to tell Yuri." Natsuki answers. Me and Sayori leave the clubroom and went to the stairs where Monika was.

"Where's the rest?" Monika asks. She looks at me and Sayori holding hands and gives a faint smile.

"They will be here soon." I respond. We wait a few minutes then Natsuki and Yuri show up. Monika started walking and we follow. We go to the piano room door again which leads to the space room. I can again feel that pressure the door gives me.

We enter then Sayori, Natsuki and Yuri go to the window looking out at the repulsive orange black sky.

"This is where we leave." Monika walks over to a wall and put her hand on it. After a few seconds, a door appears that does not have a knob on it. The rest look at it.

"How do we open this?" Sayori asks. Monika looks at me.

"You know what to do." She tells me. I think but I couldn't think of anything.

"What do you mean? I don't know anything about how to open this.." I tell her. Monika sighs then touches my head.

"Uh, what are yo-" I get cut off from a weird feeling. Suddenly, everything goes black. I try moving around nothing happens. I can't even speak.. out of nowhere I start to remember something. Like I've known Monika before.

This memory.. is when I saw her when I was young. My mom had a laptop that she told me not to touch. I did anyway and turned it on seeing something. I thought it was a AI but it acted like more of a real person. The glitchy figure that looked like Monika touched the screen from the other side. I felt pressure to do it too making some sort of glitchy electricity going through my arm.

From what I remember, I blacked out and woke up not remembering anything at all. So all this time, I knew who she was? It makes since why I forgot back then. It makes since out of everyone, I get pulled into the game. It could also explain why I've been having the issue with fading. Because that electricity did something to me.

Maybe it allowed me to stay in the game but not for long. My vision regains and I look at Monika. She nods at me. I look at my hands, then back at the door.

I put my hand on the door. I then close my eyes thinking of that electricity. Suddenly, I feel something go through my arm. I open my eyes to see the door glitch making it open. I look around in it to see a infinite void with a screen shaped object in the distance.

I look back at the rest shocked except Monika.

"This is where we leave!" I say. Everyone but Monika hesitantly nod. I tell everyone to hold each other's hands as we jump into the void towards the screen.

"Guys this feels weird!" Yuri yells.

"Just hold on, we will be there soon!" Monika tells her. I felt pressure start pushing me.

"I-I can't.." I say as one of my arms disappear.

"Mike!" Monika and Sayori yell. My other arm starts to fade away too. We are nearly there. I hold on to Sayori's hand as hard as I can. It starts going away faster. The second it looked like it was going to disappear we get sucked into the screen.

I hit the floor and look around to see the rest is ok.

"We.. we made it!" I yell happily. Monika smiles at me.

"We did huh.." She responds. I look at my arms to see they are back to normal. The door to my room busts open as I see my mom and dad rush in.

"Mom, Dad!" I say as I run and hug them.

"I've, missed you guys!" I tell them.

"You too sweetie are you alri-" My mom says as she looks at Monika.

"Monika? What are you doing here?" She asks.

"Wait you know her?" I ask my mom.

"Well yeah.. I'll explain later." She responds. My mom tells me everything I missed while I was gone. She also told me about where she was. Apparently she had to go on some secret trip for more intel on Monika.

Settling in, me and the club went and hangout. We went to stores and I showed them places they have never seen before.

In the end, it was all worth it. I got to be in a game and made amazing friends. Also, got a girlfriend I love and adore. I even got my mom back! Choosing yes, brought me here.

And, it brought Happiness.
