Iris was in the middle of a very sweet dream when she felt someone constantly tugging her leg.

At first she thought it was the girl doing her pedicure in the dream, she muttered some incoherent words and moved her leg.

Ariel was impatient, he quickly ran into the bathroom to scoop water in his hand, then he splashed it on her face.

Iris frowned as the water touched her face.

She used her hands to dry her face before opening her eyes.
"Holy fuck, is the roof leaking again?'
She asked herself.

Ariel rolled his eyes.
"Get up we need to leave now"

Iris sat up as her eyes landed on Ariel.
"This is the middle of the night"

"Nope, it's three thirty in the morning" Ariel corrected.

Iris groaned.
"Same difference"

"We have to leave now, that way we can escape from Simon and we will be able to start phase one of my plan" Ariel rubbed his hands excitedly.

Iris felt like crying, his plans are always crap and always lands them in trouble.
"Where exactly are we going to stay"

Ariel smiled.
"Reuben, my good friend went to Indiana for his mother's burial so he said we can crash at his trailer while he is gone"

Iris yawns.
"So when he gets back where would we go to?"

Ariel rolled his eyes.
"There is no time to talk now, when we get to the trailer, I'll explain everything"

Iris stood up still sleepy.
"Whatever....... I'll pack up"

Iris reached for her duffel bag groggily.

No matter what Ariel does, she just had to stick with him,

Iris is a college dropout, with no money, no house, no family.

She never knew her father and hasn't heard from her mother, Becky, in three years, her mom always changes her boyfriend like evey two months so she keeps moving in with them.

Becky told her that she was eighteen that she should be able to fend for her self.

Iris wasn't lazy, after she turned eighteen she had to work multiple jobs to pay her rent and also save for college.

Iris wasn't a bright student, so it was so hard to keep her grades up while she worked multiple jobs.

She dropped out of college after a year, she was robbed two days after due to the shitty neighborhood she lived in.

She was kicked out of where she lived and had to stay with Ariel since then.

Due to her shoplifting and violent records its hard to get a job, most of the time Ariel steals from them and then they connect him to her and she gets fired.

Three Months Later.

Luca ran his fingers through his hair angrily.
"I want to be alone Taylor"

Taylor scoffed and folded her arms.

"I'm dead serious Taylor" Luca turned to face her.

" I don't care if you want to be alone, let us sort this shit out right here, right now"

Taylor flipped her elbow length  brown hair, she tapped her foot impatiently.

"I have nothing to say" Luca replied.

"I have a lot to say, you stood me up, because you had to go and pick Andrea from the airport, tell me is Andrea your girlfriend or me?"
Taylor yelled.

"Since you don't want to leave my office, I'll leave for you"
Luca had a stony expression on his face.

Taylor chuckled.
"Luca if you walk out of that door we are done for real this time".

Luca shrugged and walked out, leaving Taylor with a mortified look on her face.

"""""""""""""

Iris looked worried.
" Ariel, I'm having second thoughts about this"

Ariel rolled his eyes.
" Come on baby, we have come this far and worked so hard for today, we have waited three months"

"I know" Iris inhaled deeply.

"I'm just anxious" She added.

" Don't worry you've got this" Ariel immediately said.

Iris nodded and stepped out of the truck she shut the door and waved at Ariel.

"Keep me updated" he said.

"Sure" Iris replied and walked towards the Uber taxi that was waiting for her.

""""""""""""""

Iris alighted from the taxi and admired the gigantic building in front of her. The wind blew her blond hair softly.

She quickly glanced at her reflection from the taxi window before the taxi driver drove  off.

She was dressed in a black pencil skirt and a pink blazer, she wore a black flat shoe. The whole outfit was borrowed from Sheri, Ariel's cousin she and Ariel are currently staying with her.

After Reuben got back from Indiana, they both moved into Sheri's apartment.

Iris frowned, the car window didn't make her look as good as she was looking when she looked at the mirror in Sheri's room.

This broke the last strand of self confidence she had. Iris felt her insides rattle. She took several deep breaths to calm herself.

Her borrowed phone chimed and she quickly took it out clumsily from her bag. She looked at the screen of her phone and sighed.

Ariel.

You should be in by now.

Iris adjusted herself as she walked towards the gate of Chevron Holding company.
