Chapter Nine

Iris sighed as Ariel kissed her forehead.
"Be a good girl today, don't worry nothing would go wrong, okay?"

Iris nodded.

"Smile" He said.

Iris forced out her best charming smile.

"Good girl" Ariel commented.

"Bye" Iris said as she walked towards the Uber taxi she ordered.

She got into the car and glanced at Ariel through the window, he was getting into his truck.

Iris closed her eyes and inhaled deeply.

Once again, Ariel is making her do what she doesn't want to.

Well a part of her wants to go and that is what is scaring her. She wanted to see Logan again.

Maybe it's the fact that he scares her that attracts her or his dangerous and intimidating aura. Maybe it's just his devilishly handsome face or all of the above.

Iris scoffed, she shouldn't think about Logan, just Luca, Luca is her target, she tried picturing his face in her head, but the cold dark eyes of Logan kept showing up, like it was haunting her.

She groaned.

"Steve, we are going to do this the easy way because I have a soft spot for you" Andrea said walking around Steve who was tied to the office chair in his office and gagged with his tie.

He kept mumbling incoherent words.

Andrea kept the document in his face.

She ungagged him.

"Fuck you" Steve spat out breathing hard.

Andrea clicked her tongue.
"Sweet heart, I really don't want to get my hands dirty today, just explain this document"

"I know nothing about this" Steve yelled.

Andrea punched his face and he grunted in pain.

"If you know nothing about this, why is your signature here?"

Steve laughed mockingly.
"Luca's signature is also there, why aren't you beating him up?"

"Shut the fuck up" Andrea said furiously.

"Oh, you are hopelessly in love with him, you won't even have the guts to yell at him" Steve chuckled.

Andrea gagged him again but paused when she heard the sound of the door.

She turned to see a shaking Iris, she was white with shock.

"I..III.." Iris stuttered.

Andrea scoffed in annoyance and removed the tie for Steve's mouth before walking out.

"Mr Pickett" Iris said frightened.

"Don't just stand there come and untie me"  Steve said.

Iris ran to him and untied the rope that was around him.

"Are you okay, should l.."

"Just shut the fuck up" Steve yelled his face red and blood dripping out of the cut in his lower lip.

Iris's heart was pounding she took steps away from Steve.

"I instructed you to deliver the red folder to Aspen how did that one particular document that was supposed to be in the red folder get in the hands of Logan Michelson?" Steve yelled.

"Sir.... I bumped into..."

"What is wrong with you ladies in this company, you always go for the dangerous ones, I thought you wanted Luca at least that one is safe even if he has really crazy women that are in love with him" Steve scoffed as he took out tissue to wipe his mouth.
