Chapter Ten

Steve turned to Andrea and scoffed.
"I told you not to speak to me"

"Answer my question Steve, I don't have all day" Luca said through gritted teeth.

Steve stood up grinning like a chesire cat.
"I didn't encourage her, she made me a good offer and I accepted because I needed to buy a private jet"

Andrea scoffed.

"Who forged my signature?" Luca asked.

Steve cackles, Andrea glared at him.

"Ow" Steve winces as his hand goes to his bursted lips.
"Fuck both of you" He said.

"Steve, answer the damn question" Luca said with murderous look on his face.

"No one forged your signature" Steve replied.

"But I didn't sign it" Luca frowned.

"Well, she made you do it without knowing, women have their ways you know, and I don't want to go into the details..."

"Shut the fuck up Steve" Andrea yelled.

"Oh Andrea, I said I'm not speaking to you so why are you fighting so hard for my attention" Steve smirked at Andrea.

"But what did she need all that money for?" Luca pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration.

"Bookclub" Steve quipped.

"What?" Luca asked.

Steve rolls his eyes.
"How am I supposed to know, you are her boyfriend not me, but it sounded like she needed the money urgently"

"Logan isn't going to let all this go, he is going to make sure that you and Taylor get the punishment you deserve" Andrea smirked at Steve.

"Do not talk to me Andrea and I am aware of that, don't worry about me I know how to deal with my situation" Steve said.

Luca groaned.
"Just leave my office"

"You heard him Andrea, leave" Steve said and Andrea glared at him.

"I mean you, Steve" Luca snaps.

Steve scoffed.
"I was leaving anyway"
He walked out of the office.

Luca sighs and sits on his chair.

Andrea walks towards him and stood behind him before placing her hands on his shoulders.
"It's going to be fine, just talk to Logan so that you guys can figure this out after all he is your best friend"

Andrea massaged his shoulders gently.

"That's not what I'm worried about, Steve said that Taylor sounded like she needed the money urgently, I wonder what trouble she is in right now" Luca explained.

Andrea rolled her eyes.

"Maybe I should go and see her right now" Luca was about to stand up but Andrea stopped him.

"Absolutely not"

Luca turned to face her.
"Why?"

"Don't you get it, she broke up with you, she said she is done with us, with you, so stop worrying about someone that doesn't care about you" Andrea yelled at Luca.

Luca shook his head.
"I can't believe this, what happened to you, you and Taylor used to be good friends..."

"Yeah, until you messed it up for us" Andrea blurted out.

"That shouldn't have messed up your relationship, Andrea you and I dated in highschool and we broke up in highschool...."

"But you know that I'm still in love with you" Andrea felt the tears threatening to come out.

"I love you Andrea, but as one of my best friends, nothing more and I don't want us to talk about this, ever" Luca stood up and stormed out angrily.

Andrea sniffled and dried the tears that rolled down immediately.

Iris walked towards the photocopier wondering when she will see Logan again, she hissed at her thought as she reach for the stacks of paper on the desk.

She just wanted to see him again, she may have a little crush on him, that's all right, a little crush isn't going to hurt anyone, is it?.

Iris smiled at her thought as her phone buzzed.
She picked it and opened the message.

Iris gasped as tears brimmed in her eyes.
A video of  Ariel being beating beyond recognition is what was sent to her.

Iris quickly stopped the video and took the papers with her before speed walking to her desk as she reached for her earphones and played the video again.

Ariel's face has different cuts and was swollen. There was blood over and it looked like Ariel was unconscious.
The camera was taken away from Ariel's face to another person's face.

Iris covered her mouth as she shrieked.

It was El Ramos. But she thought Ariel was done with El Ramos.

"Mamacita, your boy here tricked me and stole from me, if I don't get my money in the next twenty four hours, I will cut him into pieces and send his body bit by bit as a present to you every morning by nine am".
El Ramos said.

Iris dropped her phone as hot tears streamed down her face.
She sobbed quietly but uncontrollably.

She doesn't know how much Ariel owes El Ramos, but she is sure that it is a large sum of money, and she is confused about what he used the money for.

Iris dialed the number that sent the video to her with shaking hands.
It rang and Iris swallowed when someone picked up.

"El Ramos" Iris felt her mouth go dry.

"Iris, I see you got my message" El Ramos said.

Iris sniffled.
"Can I please speak to Ariel?"

"When I have my money you can have him so no, you can't"

"How do I know he isn't dead yet, he was unconscious in the video" Iris sniffled.

"That's the problem, you don't know, and if he is dead as his girlfriend you inherit all his debt since I have no idea where his family is at" El Ramos said.

Iris sighed.
"Alright, how much does he owe you?" Iris asked.

"Fifty grand"

Iris's eyes widened.
"Fif.....ty......" Iris stuttered.

"Call me when you have my money" El Ramos hung up.

"Fucking Ariel" Iris cussed.

El Ramos is a drug lord, Nothing about druglord's is ever good news, Iris thought Ariel was done with all that, what exactly did he steal. She hoped it wasn't drugs.

Iris dried her tears and blew her nose.
Where the hell is she going to find fifty grand in twenty four hours.

She was so lost in thought that she didn't notice Steve in front of her until he snapped his fingers in her face and she gasps in shock.

"Are you okay?" Steve asked.

Iris nodded.
"Yes..... Yes sir"

"There is a ball tomorrow night, we will both be attending, you will go with me as my date.............. For business reasons obviously, so wear a nice dress" Steve said.

Iris nodded, with out even looking at him.
"Yes sir"

Steve frowned, he wondered what was wrong with her, she looked so white like she had seen a ghost, not that he cares but she looks like she just received a life threat.
