Iris stood up and walked towards the elevator, her mind was made up, after today, no more.

She will send her resignation letter to Steve's mail. She doesn't want to stay here any longer, she can't afford to loose her life because she wants to make some money.

Iris let out a breath from her mouth as she hugged the folder close to her chest. She was in the elevator with three guys all wearing tuxuedos.

The vibe they were giving off was making her more anxious,

Maybe they are part of the mafia too, Iris thought.

The elevator stopped and she walked out of the elevator hurriedly, running into....

Her eyes widened.

She ran into Andrea.

The folder in her hand fell to the ground and opened, the documents in it flying out.

Iris swallowed as Andrea looked at her furiously.

"Moron" she spat out.

"S...sss..sorry" Iris stuttered, bending her head hoping that Andrew wouldn't recognize her.

Iris bent to pick up the folder and the scattered documents.

She sighed when Andrea walked into the elevator.

When she was done picking up the documents, she groaned in frustration when she realised that she has to arrange the documents in sequence.

Iris was glad when she saw Daphne by her desk, she kept the folder on her desk.

"Hey" Daphne smiled at her.

"Hey, can I sit here to sort this out?" Iris has a disturbed look on her face.

Daphne nodded and Iris sat in the chair opposite her.

"You look ...... tired, I never knew Steve stresses his workers out" Daphne said, she is always happy to make conversations with any one.

Iris groaned internally.
"No, he doesn't stress me out, I...err sort of bumped into Andrea and she really scared me"
Iris kept sorting out the files.

Daphne laughed.
"Sorry for laughing, but I'm sure you will get used to it"

"Oh shit"

"What?" Daphne asked.

Iris sprang up.
"One of the documents is missing"

She quickly walked off before Daphne could reply.

Iris closed her eyes and took deep breaths. Then opened it, searching for the document.

She needed to calm down before she has a panic attack for real this time.

But how is she supposed to be calm when she just realized how dangerous the man she is trying to swindle could be.

She sighed when her eyes landed on the document by the foot of an opaque glass door.

Just as she was about to go and get it, a masculine hand reached for it.

Her eyes widened in horror when it landed on Logan Michelson.

She gasped, He scanned the paper with his eyes, a slight frown forming on his face.

Iris could feel her heart beating fast as she hid by a pillar hugging the folder close to her.

She silently prayed that he drops the document back on the floor or just drops it in the trash can not far away from him.

Unfortunately, he took it into the office with the opaque glass door.

Iris groaned as she hit her forehead lightly on the pillar.

What is she going to do now?.
She thought.

The same dark eyed stranger she has been trying to avoid.

She can't go back to Steve, what explanation is she going to give him.

And Aspen, she doesn't even know who he is.

After ten minutes of standing by the pillar and hitting her forehead lightly against it, she mustered up courage and walked towards his door.

Her hands were trembling, she kept telling herself that his involvement in the mafia may just be a silly rumor and he is just a regular businessman.

"Hey excuse me miss" A red haired lady stopped her.

Iris turned, a gasp escaping her lips.

The red chuckled.
"I didn't mean to scare you but you can't go to his office just like that, who are you anyway and what do you want?"

Iris cleared her throat.
"From Mr Pickett, I'm his new P.A"

The red's mouth formed an oh.
"Does he know you are coming?"

"Yeah" Iris replied.

"Alright" The red said.

Iris took in a deep breath and knocked.

"Go in since he is expecting you" The red told her.

Iris nodded and push the door open, she shivered as the door closed behind her, her eyes looking around.

The office was empty, but she was so sure he walked in.

The office looked way bigger than a normal office, it had a mini living room.

The sound of someone clearing their throat jerked Iris out of her trance.

Iris turned and almost bumped into a muscular chest, she quickly took few steps back, avoiding making eye contact with Logan.

Logan grinned.
"Did you miss your way again Iris?"

Her mouth went dry, how does he remember her name, he didn't even get it wrong,

Logan was amused by Iris's behavior, she kept avoiding his gaze and there was a terrified look on her face.

Iris swallowed, she needed to get her self together and stop embarrassing herself. She tilted her head up till her blue eyes met Logan's dark ones.

Logan smirked as Iris made eye contact with him, for some unknown reason, he finds her new found courage quite fascinating.

"You picked up a document that was by your door and I am to deliver the documents along with the ones in this red folder I am holding to Aspen" Iris explained.

Logan nodded.

"So, can I... Have it back... please?"
Iris griped the folder in her hands tightly in anticipation.

Logan scoffed and walked towards his office chair. He unbuttoned his blue blazer before sitting.

According to that document it shows that, Steve Pickett is embezzling the company's funds, Now he is wondering if she found out and purposely left the document at his door step so he can find out.

But what's in it for her if he found out, would she expect a raise? Or a promotion?.
Logan thought.

Iris was wondering why Logan ignored her question and has been silent for more than a minute.

She watched as he poured some whiskey into a glass, before drinking it all.

"Give Aspen the ones with you, don't worry about the document with me"
Logan said and stood up, he opened a door she hadn't noticed earlier and walked in before shuting it.

Iris frowned, she wondered why he didn't release the document, she hopes she isn't in any kind of trouble.

"I guess that's my cue to leave"
Iris mumbled before walking out of his office.
