Chapter 1: The Past

It was a cold afternoon, the sun was about to set and Stacia was outside in the palace's garden sitting while waiting for the sun to set.

Ever since she was little she wondered how it would feel to be a goddess just like her mother. Every day was peaceful, no wars have started yet at that time I was under a beautiful and big cherry blossom tree that's when I saw a world I didn't know before.

"I remember when my mother told me a legend about the Dark Heavens," she said. But she never believed it would be true until she saw an arrow sent with a piece of paper. She grabbed it but before she opened it she saw the leader of that planet he glared at her and went back inside. I was confused so I opened it and it said "a war is coming to prepare yourself because this time we are going to win "written in blood.

I hurried inside the palace and went to my mom then gave her the note "Mother this is from the dark heavens" she turned and said, "What do you mean?" I gave it to her and she opened it and got worried. She looked at me and said, "Stacia if the war starts I want you to stay inside the place ok?" I disagreed with her and said "What? NO way! I want to fight too I'm sick of staying hidden why can't I fight along with you like father" She sighed and wrapped her arms on my shoulders "listen, Stacia, I wish you could but you are too important to me and I don't want to lose another loved one" I sighed and said "fine" she replied with "thank you also you have to understand it's for your safety please just cooperate" I accepted and she left to train the guards.

I went back outside and saw Herschel the leader of The Dark Heavens I got close to him and said "Herschel? What are you doing here?" he looked at me then said "I want to ask if your mother was busy" I looked at him and asked "why? is there something you need?" he replied "there is an offer I want to tell her about" I raised a brow and said "she isn't busy at the moment if you would like to follow me" he answered "okay and thank you" we went back in the palace and my mother saw Hershel and glared at him then crossed her arms and said "Herschel? What do you want?" He bowed and said "Akilah I've come in peace I would like to tell you about an offer that me and my people think would be the solution to avoid this war" she stayed there thinking then said "okay what's the offer?" he got up and said, "Stacia could you give us a moment? "I said "uhh...sure excuse me" I left and they stayed there then he looked at my mother and said "the offer is..." before he could continue my mother said "it better be worth it" he sighed calmly and said "As you can see I have a son Rhett he's quite the age of your daughter" my mother interrupted him and said "No. stop right there. if this means hurting my daughter forget it and she's too good for him" Hershel stayed silent a moment then said "please let me finish" my mother replied "fine. But like I said if it means hurting my daughter forget it." He continued "it has nothing to do with hurting either your family or people" my mother sighed relieved and said, "then what is it?" Herschel continues with his last words "we can avoid the war if your daughter Stacia and my son Rhett get married I think it's the best solution and this will include a peace treaty" my mother said, "what if she refuses?" Hershel said "I think that would mean the war will continue" my mother sighed and said "fine" then she looked at him and said "but I'm going to talk about it with Stacia" he replied "okay. You will have till tomorrow" he bowed and left back to his side. Meanwhile, where Stacia was she was in the room thinking about what to wear tomorrow "hmm. How about I wear something pinkish.Nah.how about purple...perfect!" that's when my mother knocked on my door "honey, may I come in?" I replied "sure" she entered and I looked at her and she said "Stacia. We need to talk please sit down" and I reply "uhh...okay what it is?" I sat on my bed and she did too then she looked at me and said: "remember that paper the Dark Heavens sent?" I replied and said, "what about it?" she answered "well it seems there is a solution to avoid this next war" I sighted relieved and said "really? Great to know! What is it?" she got a little worried and took one of my hands and said, "Hershel came to tell me about an offer...that you may not agree with but it's better than losing more lives right?" I looked at her and said "your point?" she replied "the offer is that you marry the son of Herschel" she got up and said, "What?! Why?!" I looked at her then at the dark side and said: "why me?!" she got up then got close to me and said, "Tell me something do you want to lose more innocent lives in your kingdom?" We stayed silent for a few minutes and my mother replied "because if so I'm not letting that happen we have lost many lives already" I answered, "but..." she interrupted then got up and said "we invited them for dinner and they will be arriving in 30 minutes. I want you in the palace's entrance in 5 minutes make sure you're ready" I replied, "yes mother..." she said disappointed then Akilah left.
