Chapter 22: The Coronation

One year later Rhett and I began to live in The Guardian Acres I was 20 years old and Rhett was 24, it was time for Rhett and I to become the new King and Queen of The Guardian Acres. It was a Saturday morning with the sun out; and clear sky, Rhett woke up while I continued sleeping peacefully as he stroked my hair gently letting out a soft chuckle and kissed my forehead then he whispered, "My Stacia..." after hearing that, I smiled and he let out another soft chuckle then poked my cheek which caused me to open my eyes then I looked at his beautiful lavender eyes then he said, "Morning, Love." I sat up rubbing one of my eyes replying, "Morning, Rhett." then placed a hand on his cheek then he kissed me as I did back then he wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me close to him.

He smiled and moved a strand of hair behind my ear and said, "Ready for our first day to live as a family" I placed a hand on his cheek replying, "Well we are not a family yet, till we have kids. But I know what you mean." He chuckled and wrapped an arm around my waist and kissed me as I kissed back then heard a knock that a maid came to let us know that breakfast is served then we thanked her.

Then Rhett and I changed into something casual. We walked out of the room then arrived to dining room, where breakfast was already on the table then sat down then Tracy looked at us and greeted us. Breakfast was served and Tracy took a sip of her tea and said, "Rhett, Stacia I think you know what today is?" I nodded then Rhett said, "Coronation day, am I correct?" she looked at both of us again then replied, "Yes. Today is a special day for you two. The ceremony is at 8:00 am. I hired both of you someone to help you get ready" We thanked her and continued with breakfast and finished.

I kissed Rhett then he wrapped an arm around me and he chuckled pulling me close to him, my sister were done and went back to what they were doing while Tracy, Rhett and I stayed a little longer discussing how was the ceremony going to be organized we disagreed with a few things but since she was the queen we had to follow her orders. Once we finished the discussion, and stood up thanking Tracy and the maids then decided to walk to the garden, it was such a beautiful day especially in spring, the sky was clear, butterflies were everywhere and flowers were in full bloom and stayed for a few minutes.

We stood up walking back to the palace entering the throne room, Tracy was waiting for us because she wanted to make sure we were agreeing with everything she told us about the ceremony I guess you could call it another wedding ceremony and we agreed with everything but warned Tracy that we wanted a calm and formal ceremony and Tracy seemed to agree as well. Rhett and I left to our room to get some rest before the ceremony, before I layed down I decided to take care of a few things while Rhett took his shower after I sat on the drawer's chair brushing my hair at that moment, Rhett came back shirtless and I didn't notice and sat on the edge of the bed then Rhett sat down wrapping his arms around my waist pulling me close to him then I faced him with a smile saying, "Oh, Rhett. That was quick, heh." He chuckled saying, "Of course it was. Why you don't want to see me?" I chuckled then kissed his cheek replying, "I never said that. I just missed you." He nodded replying, "same here." We kissed and then he layed down the bed.

I sat on the edge of the bed and began to cross-stich while Rhett looked at me and pulled me close to him, then I said, "Oh Careful, I don't want to prick your finger!" he chuckled then said, "I didn't do anything." I rolled my eyes and chuckled and placed the needle on a safe place leaving it on the nightstand then he wrapped his arms around my waist laying me down then kissed me as I did with him. After that, he backed away and began to kiss my neck I began to blush lightly saying, "R-Rhett what are you doing...ah...are you a vampire or what heh" he chuckled pulling away replying, "What if I am...I'm joking...Sorry I just can't help myself...especially of such a beautiful and unique girl like you" I smiled and thanked him stroking his hair. We looked at each other and said, "I'm a little surprised..." then he replied, "About what?" I placed a hand on his cheek saying, "I didn't expect we would be King and Queen on such an early age" he chuckled replying, "I'm 24 and your 20 there isn't much difference" I let out a sigh then placed his head laying against my chest with eyes closed.
