A week. A week and they were already arguing again. They couldn't let petty fights go. Both of their tempers were already too high to cool down. Both girls had agreed to not let it happen again, but their never ending cycle of fights seemed to keep on going. 

"Cheryl you promised me nothing happened between the two of you!"

"That's because it's true! I would never cheat on you!"

"Then explain to me why the fuck I saw you and her kissing?"

"It was a fucking kiss on the cheek Toni!"

"I'm out of here"

"No Toni wait-"

"Do not try to phone me or I swear I'm never getting back with you"

The redhead watched as the shorter girl left her house while shutting the door, almost banging it. She didn't want to cause such temper in the brunette. She only wanted it as some sort of payback to what Toni had done to her the past few weeks, but she didn't know it would create such a mess in their relationship.

Cheryl bit her lip and looked at her phone, hesitating whether she should follow her girlfriend's orders or not. She knew how serious Toni got whenever she was mad. If she says she'll do something, she definitely will. The redhead decided to just text her, but got no reply back. She sat down on the sofa in the living room and thought back to what she had done earlier that day, and regretted it.

- a few hours ago -

"Ronnie, you free later?"

"Yes, why Cheryl?"

"Wanna go grab a milkshake with me at Pop's?" The redhead winked at the raven haired girl while giving her a flirty look. 

"Of course, what's the special occasion babe?" Veronica played along with Cheryl, smirking and staring at her intently. She stood up and took a seat beside Cheryl on the couch in the student lounge.

"Nothing is special about today Veronica, I just want to..spend some alone time...with you"

Cheryl stared at Veronica's lips, licking her own while being in silence. The raven haired girl noticed what was happening and smiled, leaning closer to the redhead until the cherry red lips touched her cheek. At that moment, Toni walked into the student lounge.

"Cheryl what the fuck?!"

"Veronica!?" Betty had followed Toni because they were on their way to the principal's office, but the pink haired girl wanted to stop by to speak with her girlfriend first.

Cheryl stood up and walked towards her girlfriend, a concerned look growing on her face. 

"Toni, this isn't what you think"

"Oh really? Then explain to me why there's red lipstick all over Veronica?"

"It's just the cheek Toni, it was a friendly kiss"

Toni didn't say anything back, she just turned around and walked off, Betty doing the same after giving Veronica the stink eye. The redhead walked to Veronica and took her bag, walking away from her until an arm pulled her back.

"Cheryl, I'm sorry..I shouldn't have done that, we can't grab milkshakes later, I have to go find Betty"

"It's all your fault Veronica, now because of that stupid kiss on the cheek, Toni is not going to forgive me"

"Cheryl, don't think that way, she'll-"

"No Veronica! Just leave me alone!"

Cheryl let her arm go from Veronica's grip and left.
