It had been a week since Cheryl's attack, and the redhead was still wary about any guy that got close to her in the halls. The only person she let near was Toni, and was a bit relieved after hearing the news of Toni and Veronica's official break up. She knew that Betty would stop avoiding Veronica now that the news were out to the whole school, but she also knew that it meant Toni would probably try to start things between them, but the redhead wasn't ready, not after what Nick did.

"Cheryl, we have to finish that science project by the end of the week"

"I know Betty, but I've been busy"

"With what? Toni?"

"No, we're not even a thing yet.."

"I thought you were crazy for her..." The blonde haired girl crossed her arms as she leaned her back on the lockers, waiting for the redhead to finish taking her things out and putting them in her bag.

"I was....or am, but after...Nick"

"Hey, it's ok if you don't want to mention it, meet me at my house ok? But after five"

"Why can't I go with you right now?"

"I have...things to do"

Cheryl shook her head and smiled when she saw Betty walk towards Veronica. She knew the two girls would most likely get together soon, and wished for that to happen between Toni and her, but after last week, things had gotten complicated between the two.

"Miss Cheryl Bombshell"

Cheryl turned around with a smile after hearing Toni's voice behind her. The brunette smiled when seeing a happy look on the redhead and gave her a hug before quickly kissing her cheek.

"Have you been avoiding me or something?"

"No TT, I've just been thinking about...us"

"Hey, no pressure Cher ok? Could we meet at Pop's later?"

"How about 8, I have something to do with Betty"

Toni nodded and waved at the redhead before leaving the school, heading to her trailer. Cheryl went to her car and drove to Thistle house, still figuring out whether she should start a relationship or not.

Betty on the other hand, was determined to start something between Veronica and her, and was planning on doing that tonight. She always found herself staring at the raven haired girl, looking at her lips, wishing to kiss them, and now that Veronica was single, she could do that.

Veronica helped Betty get inside the car, going back to the Pembrooke. The raven haired girl sat beside Betty and went on her phone while Smithers drove the girls home. Betty placed her hand on Veronica's thigh, which made the raven haired girl turn her head to meet blue eyes staring back at her.

"V...could we talk about...us?"

"What is there to talk about?"

Betty sighed and looked down, feeling that because she had turned down Veronica, she wouldn't be into her anymore. Her thoughts stopped once the raven haired girl's hand went on top of her own, making the sudden touch irresistible, sending shocks through her body.

"B, after our kiss, all I could think about was you, breaking up with Toni gave me the freedom to do whatever, yet I stayed alone, waiting for you"

Betty looked up and stared into the brown eyes that were full of love and sincerity. The blonde smiled and bit her lip, her eyes starting to water at the sudden confession.
