Chapter Ten: Human
POV Eraserhead
Month Six
Shōta Aizawa scanned the area of the hospital for possible intruders or the press, finally after a moment of pausing in-between looking and checking he released a huge sigh of relief.
"Thank God I don't have to be pestered by anybody today." He mumbled before launching himself off the building, using his scarf to capture a pole downwards and kept running down the windows of the hospital before he paused.
There on the third floor was Toshinori, better known as All Might. Something was different about his coworker. He looked smaller than usual. Like he hasn't been eating. Also he was bald.
Wait what?
Bald?!
When did this occur? He wondered before finally finishing his run down the windows and used his scarf one more time to launch a bigger leap before landing on his feet on the sidewalk.
Total Spider-Man move he knew, but it worked.
A meow sounded into his coat and he peaked down and smiled. His newly acquired friend was nameless but he was adorably cute. He was black and white. A tuxedo cat. Fluffy one too.
Maybe he would name him Parker.
For finding him in the park by the hospital.
Who knows what he'll name the cat.
Something that would make sense to him and his husband of course.
The dolt always loved bringing home cats to Shōta, knowing fully that he has an obsession with them.
His shrink told him that he needs to let go of some of his trauma to finally allow himself to let go of his obsession with cats.
Cats made him feel safe, loved and affectionate.
Without them he didn't know what would happen.
That's why Mic always seemed to think he needed more .
Together they already had thirty-two of them.
All ranging sizes, shapes, age and colors.
The oldest was fifteen and a disabled cat, she was named Patch for all the patches on her fur, she was white, orange and black. She had been with Shōta since he was ten. She was blinded when a villain broke into their home and she attacked, well the villain took her sight by slicing her eyes out. She barely survived.
Now thirty cats later she was happy and loving life.
He cleared his head from his cats to the hospital doors and went through them.
He clicked the elevator door and hit the third floor.
He was determined to know why his coworker went bald.
And how he got sick.
He didn't care at all, but curiosity peaked his interest.
Aizawa finally caught him putting his bald head on the wall, with tears streaming down his face, concerned he slowly tapped Toshinori's shoulder.
"Aizawa, what are you doing here?" Toshinori said with pain filling his voice.
"I was patrolling the area and saw you...are you okay?" He asked with a concerned voice. Not his usual sarcastic self. For once he felt pity for the man, not that anger that burst forth for the man, who had everything.
"Ah, I will be." He said before stretching and then walking away, Aizawa followed him and found what the man was here for or rather who he was here for.
A frail woman laid in a hospital bed.
Toshinori bent down and kissed her forehead and sighed before sitting down in a chair closest to the bed and held her hand.
It was touching.
She was bald, with a mask on, whose eyes were closed, she looked to be sleeping. Two kids that looked troubled that he was here in the first place before the one with green fuzz on his head spoke with bright green eyes.
"Your Eraserhead!" He said with enthusiasm, he bounced up and down, the other kid who looked un-enthused with blonde fuzz said something in the green haired ear and he calmed down.
"Sorry, I'm just super excited to meet you! My name's Izuku Midoryia!" Izuku exclaimed and Aizawa's heart melted. A meow interrupted his thoughts and he mentally facepalms. He forgot about Parker.
He took the cat out of his scarf and handed the kitten to the kid.
"Here ya go, enjoy, he's yours." He scuffed out his voice a little hoarse with emotion of the family bonding he interrupted.
He went to leave but before he got to the door Toshinori was there with a stormy expression. He put a hand on Aizawa's shoulder and gripped it tightly.
"Please keep this a secret. No one knows about any of this. I would like to keep it that way." He said with a stern voice and Aizawa rolled his eyes, thinking here we go again.
"You have my word, okay? Now please let go of me before I throw you into the wall." Toshinori released him with a puff of air and walked back into the room where he could hear Izuku saying something about a Kacchan but he walked further away and didn't think that this secret was going to remain secret for long.
