Reunion

New's POV:

It's already 8:27 p.m. I shut down my laptop and massaged on my neck. It was really a tiring day. I gather my phone and car keys and start to leaving.

"Boss is tired?" I was startled hearing Mek's voice.

"You've no idea."

"I know. After all it's a new place. It'll take time to adjust with everything. Just don't stress yourself."

"Hmm I know. Thanks for your concern," I gave him a smile.

"Nah. That's what father's do."

I just rolled my eyes hearing his comment.

"Mek don't start again."

He laughed and said,"Anyways, let's have dinner tonight. I've found a new restaurant already. The review is great. My treat."

I hesitate first before I spoke,"Um Mek, can you go without me? Actually I've a plan to meet my old friend."

He hummed and didn't say anything for a while.

"Did you confessed?" he asked when we stepped in the elevator.

"Confessed what?" I asked in confusion.

"Your feelings. Did you confessed?"

I frowned at him still not getting to the point of what he meant.

"Tsk. Mek talk to me straight, will ya?"

I heard him took a long sigh and shook his head slowly. There is a ding sound of elevator opening as we came ground floor.

"Why is it so hard to understand? Isn't it obvious that I meant did you confessed to your lover, Tay?"

My lags didn't move after what Mek said right now. I was totally blank for a few seconds until I realized that, the elevator door is about to close again and Mek is already few steps ahead of me.

I abruptly pressed the open button and went outside. I almost ran and catch up with him.

"What the hell did you just said?
H-He's not my....." before I finished, Mek cut me off.

"So you don't love him anymore?" He asked.

"No....I mean yes...N-No...." I got confused with my own answer but just then something hit me. "Wait a minute, how did you......"

Again he cut me off. He snickered and said,

"I'm 6 years older than you but here you are, forgetting everything. You're the one who told me about him. Though you didn't show me his picture nor did I insisted you. But his name was engraved in my mind. So practically when Mild called him by his name, I kinda guessed he is your special one. And then he stalked you and both of you went for talk. I did confirmed."

He actually told me the whole history. I did told him once about Tay. But it's a long time ago. I never thought he would remember.

"Aiya! Look at your face. Are you blushing?" Mek was laughing.

I immediately put my palms on both side of my cheeks.

"Shut up!" I glared at him.

"But lemme tell you one thing, the way he(Tay) behaved with me it seemed like I just stole his Cinderella."

"Who is that Cinderella?"

"Of course it's you," he rolled his eyes.

The hell everyone compare me with barbies. Tay also once compared me with Juliet. It's so annoying.
