Sweet Moments

New's POV:

Both of us are out of the cafe and of course Tay paid the bill no matter how much I insisted. The weather is hot. But the thing that made my heart warm isn't this weather but those words that he said in the cafe earlier. It made my heart on cloud nine.

We're now walking side by side on the street in silence. But the silence between us is kinda comfortable. We're already came to the point to cross the road as we're waiting for the traffic signal to be turned red. Good thing is that we didn't have to wait for long.

Habitually, I was about to cross the road when I found something grabbed my hand tightly. I instantly looked and found out that it is Tay who hold my hand. I was startled.

He looked at me when he found out that I'm slow at speed. He gave his most warmest smile and I feel like everything is slow down. My focus is on him as he walk straight ahead while holding me.

It's just a small gesture but it is something that I'm curving for years. It's just a small gesture but I'm willing to treasure this moment for my whole life time. It's just a small gesture but enough for me to forget all of my worries, fears and insecurities.

I don't know how long I was lost in my thoughts until I found out that we already crossed the road. Tay's hand still holding mine firmly.

"Tay why are you still holding my hand?" finally I found tongue.

I saw a look of shock on his face but immediately changed.

"I'm afraid you will run away," he answered nonchalantly.

"Huh? Who said that?" I frowned at him.

"No one. It's just me?"

"Yaa am I kid that I would run away?"

"Yup you're a BIG KID who is crazy after sweets. I'm afraid you're gonna abandon me if you saw some sweet stalls."

I gape at him.

What the hell! Me? BIG KID?

"How could you...How could you say something like that? If I'm a big kid then you're an old grandpa. I just taste a little bit of desserts that's all. And don't say anything about my sweets," I warned him at my last line.

"Little bit of desert? Newwie you just ate 3 cup of ice cream," he made a shocking face.

"Stop nagging me. You know what, Mek is much much better than you."

Tay abruptly stopped so do I.

"What's wrong?" I asked him.

"Why is he better than me?" he asked.

I crossed my arms and gave him a proud smile.

"Because he always buys me lot of desserts and never nagged me about that."

I don't know if I'm seeing right or wrong but I saw anger on his face which makes me shocked.

"I'll buy more sweets than him. I'll take you all the stores of desserts in Thailand. Also I'll stop nagging you about this. Just don't say that giraffe is much better than me."

I got shocked again. Minutes ago he was lecturing me about sweets now suddenly he's saying that he's gonna take me all the stores of desserts? And did he just called Mek giraffe?

"Tay did you just called Mek giraffe?" I asked him curiously.

"Whom do you think I would called that? Me?" He rolled his eyes.

I couldn't help but laughed.

"Damn! Really Tay? What's made you to called him like that?"

"Cause I want to. And looking at him made me annoyed."
