Nick, April, Colby, and I were sitting at a table in catering.
We were smiling and laughing, something I haven't done much of lately.
April was currently entertaining all of us with a story.
"And then he jumped on me and he gave me a scratch! A scratch!" She said, talking about her playful cat.
"April, try getting a snake from the pet store, that is a Ball Python, and have it bite you everyday for about a month." I told her.
April looked at me. "You win." She said quietly, making her lips look like she's pouting.
"Good." I said, then added, "It was just a baby, so the bites didn't hurt." I laughed a little.
April looked at me, giving me a death glare. "I was supposed to win, then! You cheater! One scratch is worse than thirty bites from a baby snake! They aren't even bites! They're nibbles!" She said. After calming down a bit, she spoke again. "How is Bullet, anyway? Does he like the mouse we brought him?" She smiled. I playfully rolled my eyes.
"Yes, April, he loved the mouse."
"Wait, you really do have a snake?" Nick asks me.
"Yeah, and I plan on getting a tiger soon." I respond.
"Sounds cool, but you gotta be careful. I've seen pet tigers, who were spoiled, attack their owners and even kill them. I wouldn't want that happening to you." Nick says.
"Nothing bad will happen to me, Nick." I tell him.
"I'm only making sure." He says, then adds, "Hey, can I talk to you in private?"
"Yeah, sure." I say. Nick gets up, and offers a hand to help me up. I gladly accept. "Thank you." I say with a smile. Nick smiles back.
We go behind a bunch of boxes, and Nick begins speaking. "So I was wondering if you'd like to go somewhere tomorrow night with me." He says.
I think.
The last time I've been on a date was with Jon . . . and that was a long time ago. Would I feel comfortable going on a date with Nick?
Wait. Since when was this a date? Nick never said anything about a date. He just wants me to go somewhere with him, and that doesn't mean it's a date.
Calm down, Kathryn . . .
You're over-thinking this.
"If you don't want to go, then that's okay" Nick said, waiting for an answer.
"No! I want to go!" I say a little too enthusiastically.
Nick chuckles. "Okay. I'll pick you up at six?"
"Yeah, that's good." I respond.
Nick smiles and walks away. I get ready to go to the gorilla for my match. Leaving the cardboard boxes that Nick and I were behind, I pass a familiar person.
Jon was sitting on a table next to the cardboard boxes, pretending to play on his phone.
But the thing is, Renee Young was with him, too. With his arm wrapped around her and her head leaning on his shoulder, together they were looking at something on his phone. They laugh about something they see, and Jon looks up from his phone to see me. His smile quickly fades away.
To prevent from anything happening, I quickly walk away and head to the gorilla.
I, then, remembered that Jon wouldn't be taking me to the ring tonight, so I'd be going out by myself.
Hey, I'm not gonna complain.
As my theme song blasts through the arena, I get goosebumps, which has been happening to me every time I come out lately.
The fans cheer and scream my name. I hear a few people scream, "The future Diva's Champion!" and "You're gonna beat AJ!"
I smile and make my way into the ring.
Nikki Bella's music came on, and out walked the plastic surgery lady. She did her dumb shit and after what seemed like an eternity, she was finally in the ring.
April's music then came on, and she came skipping down to commentary. Once she sat down, she put headphones on and kicked her feet up on the table, as always.
Honestly, I couldn't wait to fight Nikki tonight. First, I hate the bitch. Second, I'm still pissed about seeing Jon and Renee together and I needed to take my anger out on something . . . or someone.
And that someone happened to be Nikki Bella.
Perfect.
The bell rung. Nikki and I locked up, only to have me kneed in the stomach, but I didn't fall down.
I gave her some revenge by giving her a knee to the stomach, only harder than what she did to me.
She fell on her knees, and I backed up a little. Once she got up, I went over to her and gave her a kick right in the face, which caused her to fall down.
The crowd started shouting, "1, 2, 3! 1, 2, 3!" They were letting me know that if I pinned her, I'd win the match.
But I wasn't done.
I mean, I wouldn't want to win that easily, would I?
I looked around and my eyes landed on the turnbuckles. I bit my lip and nodded.
I decided to do a move from my all time favorite wrestler, Jeff Hardy.
So I went over to the turnbuckles, and climbed to the top rope, balancing myself as I went.
I did a Swanton Bomb on Nikki, landing right where I wanted to land; her torso.
Hopefully I popped one of her "million dollar" breasts.
I went for the pin, and won.
I got up as the ref raised my hand in the air and my music, once again, blasted through the arena.
But my win was cut off by April.
She walked into the ring and stood in front of me.
Her right hand had a mic in it, as she was getting ready to speak. "Good luck taking this title away from me this Sunday at Extreme Rules." She speaks, glaring up at me.
She drops the mic on the ground and exits the ring as Raw goes on commercial.
I leave the ring and go backstage.
I go back to catering, but something comes out of no where and blocks me.
I look up to see Jon.
