~Gassy's POV~

"As soon as they're freed it's free game. They can try and capture us, the moment their cuffs are off they are the cops and we're the wanted criminals," Ze says out loud as both Nanners and I stand side by side, watching Ze and Chilled both seem to prepare for the moment Nanners and I are free men. Off to the side Ohm and Minx both stand, watching silently as free men already, two people of our base still considered a part of our base and still cound to the derp crew as well until the moment they leave base. Ohm explained to me Minx and him will be completely neutral in this exchange up until the moment they're off the base, if they get off the base. If they end up captured the moment they're secured will be the moment they're back to being soldiers on our base. I glance over at Nanners who also turns to me nodding, both preparing ourselves in a plan we hadn't exactly planned.

Ze comes behind me and clicks in the key into my cuffs while Chilled goes behind Nanners and does the same for them. There's this moment where everything is silent for a moment, as if time just momentarily stopped as we all wait anxiously. But the moment the cuffs are off all time continues and I completely ignore Ze's existance and charge towards Chilled. I grab a tight hold of his arm causing him to stumble forward and glances back to me but the damn bastard immediately aims for my injury on my chest causing me to wince and fall back. Immediately Ohm comes forward for me, holding me just in case and I just turn to him, nodding as I turn back to find Nanners fight with Chilled before snatching the gun strapped on Chilled's belt. Immediately Chilled pushes back and climbs onto the van the derp crew had brought.

Nanners continually shoots at the van and even succeeds in shooting Chilled in the leg but we don't need to shoot Chilled, we need to shoot the tired. Despite this it's as if Nanners is in a trance and continues to aim towards Chilled, seeming to even be risking murdering the man. For a second I feel my heart thump wildly at the possibility I'll see a good friend murdered right in front of me but instead the doors are closed right before he gets the chance and the van is off base. Nanners stops aiming and just stands there, staring off the van as it disappears in the distance and our base has been returned to us. Turning to Ohm I ensure him that I'm okay, that the wound didn't reopen or anything but he just kept looking at me with that worried face. Suddenly, I feel this urge in my system to just kiss him right now and forget about freeing the base. Instead I satisfy myself with a kiss on the forehead before patting his shoulder and begin walking back towards the base.

"Everyone free as many people as you can," I order the only three free soldiers behind me. They all follow behind me and we all approach the huge but neat pile of keys left behind for us from the derp crew. I sigh when I see all of the keys but Ohm is the one who immediately goes forward and begins to neatly assign us which keys work with which and we're all basically sent off by Ohm to free people. His knowledge of these do make sense considering he was a part of their team while also always being the organized guy who understands things that others like Minx won't give a shit about. Nearly half of the base goes up in a riot when they're set free while the other half are crying to their friends and having group hugs filled with tears scattered around the place. I simply watch the soldiers all have their unique reactions feeling a bit responsible for this mess. In the end, it's always the captain's fault after all.

"We should just have a few privates left and that's it," Ohm suddenly announces as he jogs up to me and glances down at some sort of list he just created a while ago. I nod, looking off to the soldiers as they all seem to be in their own worlds. "No one's blaming you," Ohm suddenly says causing me to glance back down to him as he also looks at the soldiers.

"How do you know? Have you talked to them?" I ask, honestly shocked that none of them have begun to yell at me in anger over my poor leadership skills. Ohm nods before glancing back down to the list with the same professionalism as always. Somehow, the sight of him returning to work doesn't really irritate me like it has in the past but moreso it relieves me after having seen him in such terrible states as of lately. I'd much rather have a hardworking Ohm than a drunk Ohm I'm sure about that.
