I'm not the first

Hope was laying on Josie's bed with her. They had ditched the party and Josie didn't feel like going back to it. Hope didn't mind of course considering that she also disliked party's. They were laying and talking and Hope couldn't help but feel completely relaxed. She felt such a calm with the girl and Hope knew she would Hold on to her for as long as she could. Josie shuffled closer to Hope before laying her head on Her lap. "I'm sorry about my fathers behaviour Hope". Hope began playing with Josie's hair as she spoke back "Hey it's okay, it wasn't your fault". Josie just smiled and looked up at her when some of her hair fell away from her shoulder. Hope instantly noticed the two small white scars on Josie's shoulder and frowned "Jo how did you get them scars?". Josie just looked at where Hope was looking and then looked back at her "An ex". Hope frowned even more "An ex? Care to be more specific". Josie just shrugged "One of my ex girlfriends was a vampire. Well I say ex girlfriend more like ex Hook up or whatever". Hope nodded "Oh so I wasn't the first vampire to feed from you?" Josie nodded "Nope, but, I'd rather she fed off of me then some innocent person". Hope frowned again "Did she never heal you afterwards to prevent scarring?" Josie just shook her head "No, she tried but I didn't let her. I wanted the marks there, I know its strange but seeing the Mark's made me feel like I had at least some freedom to make a descision". Hope stayed quiet as she just nodded.

Hope and Josie laid in a comfortable silence for a while until Hope broke it "Jo, can I ask you something". Josie nodded and Hope continued "Okay so, earlier when we were dancing, I told you I had a crush on you, and you said you felt the same right". Once again Josie nodded and Hope smiled "I was wondering if you would want to go on a date with me this weekend". Josie looked up at Hope with a huge smile "I'd love to". Hope smiled as she continued to speak "Great, so I was thinking I could take you to my parents lake house for a few days?" Josie smiled as she answered Hope "I should have known that you would want to do something big for our first date". Hope laughed a little "Its not big". Josie sat up and looked at Hope with a smile "Are you sure about that? Because most people go to cafes or restraunts on a first date. But you want to take me away to a lake house for a few days". Hope laughed once again "Well there's restaurants and cafes near it so I could still take you one". Josie just shook her head laying back down "Okay Mikaelson, I guess I'll allow it". Hope raised her eyebrow "You allow it? Since what made you think you had a choice". Josie just laughed as did Hope.

It was late now and the party had now ended. Hope and Josie were still laying in her room when there was a knock at the door. Josie sighed as she called out and was surprised to see Lizzie walk in "Jo, are you okay? I know that dad was angry at you earlier". Josie just sighed as she spoke "Yeah, he was mad that I was dancing with Hope". Hope just laid awkwardly as Lizzie looked at her then back at her twin "Dad just worries. The Mikaelsons have a reputation". Lizzie quickly looked at Hope "No offense". Hope just shrugged "None taken". Lizzie then turned back to Josie "I think he's worried your going to get hurt". Josie just laughed a little bit before answering "Lizzie, dad isn't mad because it was Hope. He was mad that I didn't do as he told me to. I'm sick of being the daughter that needs to marry a guy and have kids to carry on the legacy of the family. Why can't that be you?" Lizzie just shrugged "You know I'm already with someone Jo". Josie just nodded "Yeah I know".

Lizzie and Josie had just finished talking when Josie's father entered the room. "Jo, could I talk to you privately please?" Josie nodded and Hope and Lizzie both exited the room but not before Hope let Josie know that she was there if she needed her. Once they has exited it was just Josie and her father left. Walking over to the bed he sat down and began speaking "Jo, I understand that you are angry at me right now. But I just want you to know that I only do what I do because I care. I just want you to have a happy and healthy life". Josie nodded "I know dad, but why is it such a problem if that life is with a Male or female?" Alaric sighed as he answered "It doesn't matter. I know that I handled you coming out wrong. But I just want you to know that I'm ready to accept that now. Your growing, your becoming your own person. I guess I just have to learn How to let go a little bit". Josie smiled and nodded "So if I wanted I could be With Hope?" Alaric frowned but nodded "If that is what makes you happy, then yes. But I want you to be careful". Josie nodded happily before hugging her father "Thank you dad". Alaric just nodde as he hugged his daughter back, "Your welcome love".

Alaric exited Josie's bedroom before heading downstairs to the kitchen where Hope and Lizzie were "You may go back up now". Hope nodded and thanked him before beginning to leave However she stopped when he called after her "Hope. Please don't hurt my daughter". Hope smiled lightly as she answered "I wouldn't dream of it". Alaric nodded and hope headed back up to Josie's room.
