Ashton (her POV)
"Hey mom" I said giving her a kiss on the cheek as I entered my childhood home. I'm glad my parents haven't moved out yet. I was actually feeling up to seeing her today. Of course Ashton was a little shaky with me driving over but I told him I wouldn't be too long. "Hey Amanda! How are you? Can I get or do anything for you?" She asked me. "No I just need to sit down. Standing like this isn't good." I said looking around for a chair but then she led me to the living room where the nice couch is. I slowly sat down putting one hand behind me. "Ok, now I'm good!" I let out a big breathe from all that energy it took. My mother laughed, "Any week now, right?" I nodded, "Yep, I can't wait." I smiled rubbing my very rounded belly. "Oh that reminds me. I have something for you." She getting up to get it. "No mom, you've already gotten the baby so much. If you give me one more thing-" "But this ones special." She cutted me off as she walked out leaving me by myself. She came back carrying a quilt with different patterns in each square."I made this out of your old baby clothes. Except for this one," she pointed to a square that dark colored stripes. "This is a piece from Alex's shirt. I ran out of clothes but dont worry, I'll make sure to use part of your bra when he has a baby." She chuckled holding it out and I grabbed it. I put the quilt against my cheek. Before I could thank her she said, "I have something else. Its the last thing I promise." I laughed as she went around the corner. She came back, this time carrying a dark wooden rocking horse. It looked a little familiar. She wobbled as she carried it in. I tried to get up to help but she waved out her hand. "No I got it. Remember this, your dad made it for you when you were little. You used to always be rocking back and forth on it." She said. Her eyes started to tear up which only made mine tear up too. "Thanks mom. This is amazing. I'm glad I having something to pass down. She'll love them." I wiped a tear off my face with the back of my hand. "I would get up and hug you right now but that's kinda difficult." I laughed and she got up instead.
Calum (her POV)
"Calum, why isn't the babies car seat in the car already? I'm due in like four weeks and don't want to worry about it." I said as I entered our home after running a few errands with Mali. She's been a huge help the past few weeks. "I've been meaning to talk to you about that." He started. He was sitting on the kitchen counter, phone in his hand. I waddled over and leaned on the counter next to him. "Calum if its too hard for you to put in-" "It's not that. Geez do you really think I can't handle putting in a car seat?" He joked cutting me off. I shrugged, "Then what is it? I don't have all day." I was exhausted from all the errands and needed to rest. Calum knows not to take my moodiness personally by now. "We need a different car- a kid friendly one." He grinned. I rolled my eyes, "No were absolutely not getting a minivan. I am not going to be that kind of soccer mom that drives a minivan. Please Calum don't make me." He sighed getting off the counter and putting his arm on my back. "It's what's best for our child. A minivan will last us years compared to the Porsche. We can still keep our other cars if you want but we can't drive the baby around in them all the time. Mine doesn't even have a back seat." It pains me to think he's right but he is. I can already see us driving our children in it with their friends. "Fine" I groaned and he left to go buy a minivan.
About four hours later I heard a honk outside. It was Calum in our new gray minivan just pissing me off with that childish grin.Luke (her POV)
I finished the Chinese food on my plate and got up to get more. Luke and I were having a lazy night in. We did this most nights the closer I get to the end. I set my plate down and dished out some noodles. Luke was babbling on in the background. Then I felt pain around my lower abdomen. "L-Luke" I shuttered but he was still blabbering. "Luke! Its time!" I shouted. "Oh my god. Let's go!" Luke said getting off the couch surprisingly calm. We drove off to the hospital. When we got there Luke called both our families as the doctors took me to run tests and to see how far I'm dilated. Luke walked into the room and came to my side as the doctor spoke to me. Turns out it was a false alarm. Our families looked surprised to see us walk into the waiting room without a baby. Their eyes were filled with confusion and a bit of disappointment. I whispered embarrassed, "It was just gas."Michael (his POV)
I heard the washing machine turn off and the drier being opened. Which was strange because I haven't done any loads of laundry. It could only mean one thing. "Char?" I called out as I made my way to the mud room off the kitchen. There she was folding the clean laundry with a hand on her back. She looks like she's about to pop. "Char what are doing?" I said as I stepped into the mud room. "Laundry because you know how we won't get to do it often after the babies come." I grabbed the shirt she was folding out of her hands putting it in the basket. Then I moved the basket away from her. "Let me do it. Aren't you on bed rest? Go rest. Plus how are you even standing?" I said then her face dropped. "My whole body hurts. I thought if I did something it would take my mind off the pain but it's only making it worse and if I go back to bed all I can do is just lay there in pain." She started crying and I quickly comforted her, hugging her side since I can't really pull her into a frontal hug. "I know baby. I promise it'll be worth it in the end. Plus why don't you tell me when your in pain? I'm here ya know." I led her to the couch because its closer than our bed. I helped her sit down and put her swollen feet up. "Let's start where it hurts most?" I asked her once she got some what comfortable. "I don't know because it all hurts and it takes too much energy to take a bath but my arching back is killing me." She whimpered and rolled on her left side and I pressed my hands against her back. I felt terrible that she had to be the one in pain. "How does this feel?" I asked as I rubbed her back in circler movements. "Better, thank you Mikey." She said calming down. "Good. You have to take it slow these next couple of weeks. Like you have to listen to the doctor and actually be resting on bed or in this case the couch." She softly giggled. "Let me to the house chores like the laundry. All you need to do is rest and let me take care of my love."
