Ashton (her pov)

Ashton and I were hosting a small gender reveal party with just our families. My four-year-old nephew is going to open a letter of which my doctor wrote the gender on in the other room then walk out with pink or blue booties. Our doctor was kind enough to write it in a pink marker for a girl and blue marker for a boy just so it was clear to the four-year-old. We've explained the plan to him about ten times so hopefully, he does it right. I was gripping Ashton's hand as we waited. "Okay Alex, you ready to come out?" We shared one last glance at each other, nothing but excitement spread on our faces. Alex walked in with pink booties dangling from his hand. "Its a girl," Ashton shouted and I gasped. "Our gender prediction was wrong," I laughed then Ashton leaned in to kiss me. Everyone in the room cheered but Alex. "No, I wanted a boy. Girls are weird." He whined. Everyone looked at each other, trying not to laugh at the little boy. Ashton grabbed him and pulled him into his lap. "I'm sorry buddy, there's nothing we can do about it." Ash started then whispered, "Can I tell you a secret? Girls can be cool." Alex looked shocked by his words. "I know who would've thought? You can show them all your toy cars and stuffed animals. And just think, in a couple of years you'll forget you ever said girls were weird. You'll think quite the opposite." Ashton winked and I gave him a look for being a tad inappropriate with a four-year-old. He shrugged, laughing, "What? I thought it was funny."

Michael (her pov)

"Hey, Charlotte, you almost done in there?" Micheal knocked on the door of our master bathroom. "One sec." I tried not too sound upset but Michael heard right through it, "Char are you ok? You don't sound good." I took a deep breath and responded, "It's ok, I'm fine." My voice cracked, giving it away. "I'm coming in," He opened the door and saw me standing in front of the mirror, my shirt rolled up. I didn't look at him as I continued to squeeze stretch mark lotion out of the tube to rub all over my stomach. "Baby, what are you doing?" Michael asked gently grabbing the lotion tube out of my hands. "It's these stretch marks they're so ugly. They're everywhere and the worst part is, they're only going to get worst the more along I am." I started getting emotional. Ashton looked upset that i was upset, "I know you might think that but I don't. They show that our baby girl is growing and healthy, that's what makes them beautiful." He said trying to make me feel better about this. "I know but they itch and if I itch them makes it worse." A tear went down my cheek and Ashton wiped it off. "I'm sorry baby. It must be really hard but even though your in pain now it'll be worth it at the end. I promise. Just try not to think about it." He kissed my forehead leading me to bed.
