Epilogue

The fresh morning light followed the darkness of the night, and as I looked up at the sky, I thanked my creator for bringing him into my life.

In the grand hall, the truth about what had transpired between Asher and Janette was revealed to everyone present. They shared the details of the recording, which exposed Robert Stark's heinous acts of murdering his own family due to his obsession with the company. The room was filled with shock and revulsion, and even Stark's remaining supporters looked at him with disdain.

"How can you trust him, friends?" Robert Stark protested desperately. "The man is deceiving you all and blackmailing my daughter. Jane, just confess, you have nothing to fear." Stark glared at Jane, his eyes demanding a response. But Jane remained silent, her wrist held protectively by Asher.

"Guards!" Asher commanded, and within moments, the bodyguards in black suits escorted Stark away. As Stark threatened Jane one last time, she shivered, but Asher’s comforting hand eased her fears. When their eyes met, Asher's ocean-blue gaze conveyed a deep sense of protection, and he smiled as their eyes locked.

Witnessing Stark’s removal was the most joyful moment of her past eight months, aside from marrying the man of her dreams. Jane realized that the life God had chosen for her was better than anything she could have imagined. "Thank you, Asher," she whispered, looking at her husband. "It’s me who should thank you, sweetheart, for believing in me," Asher replied, resting his head on her shoulder. "Take me home, hubby."

"The party has just begun, love," Asher murmured. "There are still many sweet things I want to show you before we go home." Jane sighed in agreement as they danced together once more. She had been wrong about him; Asher had all the qualities she had dreamt of in a life partner, and there were still more to discover.

Asher kissed her neck and led her to the balcony, where they were greeted by a stunning view of the city under a star-filled sky. "It’s so beautiful, Asher," Jane said, her eyes sparkling with wonder. Asher felt a deep satisfaction, having achieved his goal of bringing joy back into the life of the woman he loved.

Jane glanced around, missing Eric since her hospital discharge. "Where’s Eric?" she asked. "He’s in Italy with Erie. He knows everything that's happened," Asher responded. Jane felt a pang of guilt for her behavior and for pushing them away.

Asher, noticing her worried expression, said, "I’m sorry!" Jane began to speak, but he silenced her with a tender kiss, full of the passion they always felt when alone together. When the kiss ended, Asher looked into her hazel eyes, missing her deeply.

"I missed you, sweetheart."

"I missed you too, hubby," she replied with a smile. "Keep smiling always. I don’t like that scowl you had on our wedding day." She chuckled, realizing just how well Asher knew her. Glancing at the sky, she thanked God for making him a part of her life.

"You know, Janette," Asher began, capturing her full attention, "you weren’t happy on our wedding day, so let’s get married again." He knelt down, pulling out a small blue box to reveal a gorgeous ring.

"Will you make me the happiest man in the universe once more?" he asked, making Janette feel a mix of surprise, shock, happiness, and emotion. She nodded, overcome with joy. "Yes," she replied.

Asher rose, kissing her deeply, and at that moment, the crowd, which Janette hadn’t realized was there, erupted in cheers. The spotlight illuminated them, creating a scene reminiscent of a Disney fairytale. Tears of happiness welled up in Janette’s eyes as she embraced Asher.

"When did you find time to prepare all this?" she asked, overwhelmed.

"Don’t you like it?" he teased.

Jane glared at him playfully before hugging him tightly. "I loved it!"

The billionaire and his bride thanked the audience and made their way toward a hopeful fresh start in their life together.
