Chapter 3: Round Two [Part 1]

You had to admit, the crew Austin had chosen for this week's "Love or Host" was especially fun. If the first round was anything to go by, you had high hopes for the second one.

Taking a sip of your water, you pondered the inevitable moment of choosing a victor. You definitely had your eye on a few of the candidates, but it was still too soon to make a decision. Everyone had a uniqueness about them that you wanted to explore further. Sure, one would eventually stand above the rest, but...you had your doubts...

As you leaned back in your chair, ready for another round, the commercial break ended and the remaining nine players were revealed on screen. It was show time.

"Welcome back to 'Love or Host'!" Austin exclaimed. "Today we have the cast of the Dream SMP, along with JustaMinx, fighting for a chance to platonically date the lovely Y/n!" A round of applause erupted from the streamers as you waved at your webcam. "Let's get back to the game!" Austin continued. "Our next question for today is...-So, you're hanging out with Y/n, right? Out of all the other players here today, who would you invite to hang out with you and Y/n, and why?"

What a good question, you thought to yourself. This could help me root out any of the selfish or possessive players...If someone says they won't share me with other people, then I'll eliminate them.

"Dream," Austin started, "why don't you go first?"

"Okay," the faceless streamer replied. "So, the question is 'who else would hang out with me and Y/n'? Is that it?"

"That's right, Dream."

"Okay, I got it." Dream paused for a moment, humming quietly as he thought over his answer. "I'd have to with George," he said. "I mean, he's really sweet and funny, and I think we'd all just have a great time together."

George shook his head. Under his breath, you could have sworn you heard the boy mutter a fond "you idiot" as a light blush dusted his cheeks.

"George, how about you?" Austin asked. "Who would you take on your platonic date with Y/n?"

The dark-haired Brit forced the air out from his lungs in a long exhale. "Uhm...I guess I'd choose Dream. I mean, he's alright."

"Alright? Alright?!" Dream mocked. "I pick you, and you just throw me under the bus. Wow, George."

George rolled his eyes and smiled. "Well, maybe if you stopped whining all the time, things would be different."

"Oh, I'm the one who whines? George, every manhunt we do, it's always 'Dream, stop following me', 'Dream, stop killing me', 'Dream, give me back my stuff'-"

The British streamer scoffed. "Okay, I do not sound like that."

"What?" Dream chuckled, struggling to sound composed over his mic. "Like a little girl?"

"Exactly! I do not sound like a little girl!"
