Chapter 4: Round Three- RESULTS [Part 4]

The crowned streamer in question hummed, stroking his chin as he pondered his next move. "I'll choose...truth."

"What would you rather have: your platform boots, or Y/n as your friend?"

"The boots, hands down."

That answer certainly rattled the crowd, causing shock to ripple through the candidates and their chats. "How dare you say that to Y/n!" Minx asserted. "You ought to be ashamed of yourself!"

Using a maternal tone of reproach, Puffy asked, "Eret, what made you choose your boots over Y/n?"

The streamer chuckled. "Come on, guys. I know that sounded bad, but the only reason I said is because I don't know Y/n very well yet. Otherwise, I would have chosen them."

"Thank you, everybody, but we are out of time!" Austin's voice cut in. "Y/n, now is the time to make your decision on which two candidates will go home. Good luck!"

You muted your mic, then released a high-pitched whine from the back of your throat. Out of all the rounds, this one had proven to be the goofiest so far. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing, since you got to see everyone's true colors, but it made your decision that much harder. One of the dares had left you scared, so that player was an obvious choice for an elimination, but who would be the second?

Each truth or dare act flashed through your mind, reminding you of everyone's pro's and cons. You narrowed it down to three candidates: Minx, Sapnap, and Eret. Although you had enjoyed Minx's interpretation of your character, you had to admit, it hadn't made much sense at first. Sapnap's willingness to sell out Dream's cat had also been pretty concerning. And then there was Eret, who had made an innocent jibe about you and his boots. Even though the reasoning behind his choice made sense, the comment itself had still hurt your feelings.

You ran through each option one more time, and sighed. Ultimately, you had to choose based on perceived loyalty, and there was one candidate that just didn't fit the bill.

"The results are in!" Austin exclaimed. "And it looks like...SCHLATT AND SAPNAP ARE GOING HOME!!"

The livestream chat erupted into chaos, with JSchlatt and Sapnap stans begging for mercy from Y/n. But it was too late; the deed had been done, and the vote had been cast. "But wait! There's more!" Austin continued. "We have another mixed bag here...BECAUSE JSCHLATT CHOSE HOST AND SAPNAP CHOSE LOVE!!"

"What?! No!!" you cried, the pain of losing another love too much for your poor heart. "Sapnap, I'm so sorry."

"It's okay, Y/n," the streamer replied. "I just thought it'd be fun to do some PVP sometime. Maybe we can catch up when you're on the server."

You smiled at the boy's humility. "I'd like that, Sapnap. Thank you."

JSchlatt sneered. "What? Don't I get a 'sorry to see you go' sphiel, too?"

You shrugged. "No, you chose host."

The mustached streamer gawked, his hand clutching his heart. "So, I don't get a heartfelt goodbye just because I chose host?!" But then his frown gave way to a trickster's smile. "I'm just messing with you, Y/n. Seriously, though, I had a great time on the show, and- I don't know, maybe we can hang out again sometime."

You waved goodbye to the two gamers, and let out a sigh of relief. It hadn't been easy sending away two of the best content creators, but it had to be done.

Five streamers remained, which could only mean one thing-

"Next round is going to be special!" Austin announced. "Instead of our regular question and answer format, Y/n has asked to reveal a big secret to their fans! Hold on to your seats, everyone- we'll be right back!"
