Fate: Love or Host (Reader x Minx x Nihachu x Puffy)

Chapter 10: FINALE

A golden sun dipped just below the horizon as the amber skies faded from ruby red to midnight blue. Green, leafy trees stood tall along the perimeter of the park, creating a sort of refuge for its visitors. There was a pond at the center of the clearing, one that cradled the lives of many sleeping waterfowl. And then there was you, sitting on a bench near the pond's edge...with your platonic crush.

Presently, Nihachu leaned her head on your shoulder and sighed. "Today has been so much fun, Y/n," she said happily. "We went to, and we explored the park- we even got to feed the ducks!" You chuckled, nodding along in agreement.

Two months after your appearance on "Love or Host", the stars finally aligned and gifted you a day with Niki. You were a patient soul, though, so you waited the one month for Nihachu's move-in date, and the one month it took to settle in. At the end of it all, you were just grateful to spend time with the German content creator- here, face-to-face.

Just as Nihachu had said, your day with the streaming queen had been incredible. The two of you had toured the most iconic monuments of your country's capital like a couple of gung-ho tourists; you wouldn't have had it any other way.

You'd never forget the look of awe and wonder Nihachu had held as she took in sight after sight. The German queen had claimed that each monument was more stunning than the last. In your mind, you begged to differ; gaining the friendship of your platonic crush was the most amazing part of the day.

Of course, your heart still ached over the loss of your other platonic crushes, Minx and Puffy, but you moved on. You survived...or so you said. In hindsight, you knew that denying your feelings wasn't healthy, but what could you do? Confess? It was far too late for that.

You pushed the intrusive thoughts from your mind as you smiled down at your new friend. "Yeah, today was great. I had a good time."

The girl suddenly sat upright, and faced you with a teasing smirk. "You know what would make this day even better?" You gulped, shaking your head. God forbid it was something romantic. "A race! Let's go!"

Before you could react, Nihachu had jumped off the bench and made a dash off to the right. "Catch me if you can, Y/n!" "I'll see you at the gazebo!"

You scoffed. That wasn't about to happen, not if you could help it. Determined to meet the challenge, you shot off in a sprint after your friend. The fairy lights in the trees winked on overhead as you ran along the edge of the pond, but you were too focused to notice.

About halfway there, you realized just how unathletic you really were. Nihachu had already entered the white-roofed structure, and here you were gasping for air. How is she so fast? you thought, slowing to a fast walk.

Your drop in speed, however, did lead you to become more observant of your surroundings. The usually open-air gazebo, for example, had black curtains that hid the interior from view. You heard a chorus of giggles rippling from the entrance, but it sounded slightly off to you. It was the sound of two voiced playing over the other as their high-pitched laughter filled the air. Was someone in the gazebo with Nihachu? And if so, who?

By the time you reached the gazebo, you were out of breath, bent over and panting for air. What happened next stole what little air you had left from your lungs:

"Surprise, Y/n!!"

"Hooray! You made it!!"

"Took ya long enough, motherfucker."

Wowwww I wonder who's in the gazebo with Minx, I mean Puffy, I mean Nihachu??
