"Welcome home."

"Asano-kun. What a splendid surprise. What is this?"

"Karma made me do it."

The younger Asano annoyingly gestured his father to a leather chair, which sat in front of a large, clothed table filled with a variety of delicacies. A wine bottle sat next a single candle on the table. The room was booked by Asano himself, in one of Japan's most expensive restaurants. A single chandelier hung beautifully from the high ceiling, lighting up the room with a gentle, golden glow.

"Karma-kun made you do it? I'm not sure if I want to sit on the table anymore."

"Don't worry, you'll be sitting on a chair. A table isn't a place to sit, anyway."

The principal's smug smile turned into a gentle frown. "I'm sure you understood me, Asano-kun."

"You won't have to worry, Mr. Principal. I'll be eating with you anyway." Asano walked to the other side of the table, and sat on another chair.

"I see." Although the grownup was too prideful to say that that was the fact that changed his mind, his son could see that in his gaze. "Well, a hearty meal with my dear son wouldn't hurt, now would it, Asano-kun?"

"Don't you get tired of calling me by your name? I think we should start calling each other normally whenever we're alone," Asano set his napkin neatly onto his lap. "Father."

The principal didn't like the change in his son's attitude, but knew he could outsmart every plan he could possibly think of. He was, afterall, his own son. He knew the younger's mind like the back of his hand.

"A fine idea...Gakushuu." The younger Asano cringed at his own name, but managed to keep his composure.

"So, what will I be eating tonight?"

"A small appetizer of Blini with Caviar, followed by a Japanese Kobe steak, glazed with the finest balsamic that's been aged since the early 1900s, cooked medium rare, with a Cheval Blanc wine that's been stored in the deepest wine cellar in Japan since 1964. The meal ends with a sweet and cool ice cream sundae, which consists of vanilla ice cream made from a vanilla bean raised in Madagascar, covered in 5 Karat gold and splayed with a fudgy chocolate syrup." A waiter explained.

(AN: I have no idea whether that meal tastes any good because I'm too poor to afford this expensive shit :] I literally searched up "expensive full course meal" and picked three dishes lmao)

"No cherries to top off the sundae? I'm a bit disappointed, Gakushuu."

"Cherries will be provided at your request. Don't be lazy about it," Asano snapped back. He added a little pause to imply his taunt, before ending with an accented, "Father."

"Alright then. Shall we eat?"

. . .

"You darned..."

"Hm. I thought Asano-kun told you? A table isn't the place to sit," Karma pushed the adult off the table. He landed with a loud thud, onto the floor.

"Gakushuu...what is the meaning of this?"

"Don't talk to him, you've been with him all dinner. I was so lonely hiding, y'know?"

The younger Asano watched as his father struggled to regain his balance.

"Karma-kun. Do tell me how and WHY you've made me this way."

"How? Well, let's see..." Karma crouched down onto the floor to easily make eye contact with the principal. "I simply added something into your food? To make you all... ehhh."

"I'd hate to ask the questions, but my son?"

"Hm. I think you should be a bit more worried about what's going to happen to you, Mr. Principal." Karma warned, chuckling. "You asked why?"

"Precisely."

"You really don't know?" Karma asked, sitting down. "You sure? Wanna try again?"

"Not really."

"Great. Makes it better." Karma set a foot down on the adult's neck, and pressed. Just like he had suspected, he pressed right on his Vagus nerve.

(In the ep where Nagisa and Karma battle, Nagisa pushes him down and attempts to make Karma unconscious by pressing on his Vagus nerve. Too lazy to explain :P)

"Urgh..."

"Let's see...where should I begin?" Karma asked himself, tilting his head. "Oh, I know! The bombs. Yeah, you remember those? The things you attached to my house? The things that killed my mom?"

With each sentence, the pressure on the principal's neck increased. He seemed unfazed, but his vision was starting to blur.

"Asano-kun told me one time that he's never thought of wanting to kill you, but I don't understand him, anymore." Karma said, releasing a breathy laugh. "It's like instinct, y'know!"

Just the sight of his face pissed Karma to his core. He hated that this man was still alive, even though his mother had died so unfairly.

"Do you know what's the worst thing?" Karma asked. "Your eyes. You have the same fucking eyes as your son."

This made the younger Asano land his gaze on the boy.

"I am so deeply infatuated with your son. It's not fair that you have his eyes." Karma sneered. "Every time I look into them, all I see are yours."

Asano felt his face flush. The timing...was it really necessary to confess his love for his partner right when his father was being attacked by this sadistic middle schooler?

"Karma-kun...you two are together? How cute."

"Didn't I tell you to worry about yourself?" Karma asked, pressing into the nerve. The principal finally showed some form of struggle, his face slightly wincing. "Haha! Look, it's starting to hurt now, huh?"

"Karma, don't go overboard."

The redhead smirked. "Now, back to our conversation, Mr. Principal. Why'd you add all those bombs in my house? Huh?"

"I'm not obliged to--erk..!"

"Don't give me that fucking bullshit!" Karma yelled, his sadistic personality making him laugh hysterically. "You're not OBLIGED to? You killed my mom, you murderer! You almost killed me! And I'm surely about to kill you. So tell me already!"

Asano crouched down next to his father. "I suggest you talk, Mr. Principal. Karma lacks patience like others do."

"You can kill me, Karma-kun!" The adult yelled, though it was difficult. His lips pulled back into a smile. "Kill me! That just makes you the same as me! A murderer!"

Asano looked back at Karma. To his surprise, the redhead looked calm. "That doesn't work on me, y'know. I know my limits. I'm not like you, Mr. Principal."

He leaned his face quite low, staring at the adult. His eyes gleamed murderously. "Now. Answer my DAMN question."

"Bombs, eh...?" Asano immediately knew something was wrong he saw his father smirk. "I can show you some of my collection, if you'd like."

"Karma, we need to get--!"

BOOM!

The building shook as a chain reaction of bombs set off.
