You finally calmed down and stared at the detective. You clapped and smiled a closed-smile to him. "You caught me! So they weren't really lying about Yokohama's greatest detective." you exclaimed calmly. He stood there and nodded with a hum in agreement. You both stood there, not a word exchanged between both of you. As the silence continued, it was broken by the one and only Ranpo. "Well, I'll see you later eh, Y/N-chan? Bye!!" He said as he turned around and started to walk off. Still standing there as the wind blew your H/C hair, you watched the great detective walk off and turn the corner.

The sun shined through the seams of the curtains, forcing your eyes to open. You groaned as you threw your pillow at the window and rolled off your bed, onto the floor (M'kay, falling onto the floor hurts but I do it basically every morning okay?). You stood up and groggily headed for the mirror. You splashed water onto your face to wake you up. You, of course, still remembered everything that happened. From the the choice poker to where Ranpo turned the corner. The scene still frightened you. Not just because he caught you out after around 3-4 years, no, it was a promise you made. A promise you have to keep. After staring and a bit of frowning at yourself in the mirror, you decide to get ready and go to the Armed detective agency. You knew where it was for the waitresses tell you about how the workers there go to the café. You slid on your shoes and open the door. Instead of being greeted with the normal view of a fountain with a few plants and flowers, you were greeted with a person at the front of your door. It was none other than the detective. "I see you wanted to chat with me?" the childish man said as he bent over at your height, putting his face close to yours. You felt yourself burning up a bit as his own nose was not even an inch away form yours. All you could do was nod your head and look up. "I just wanted to ask if you'd like to come with me somewhere." you responded with a cheerful smile. Ranpo agreed but only if they can get snacks on the way.
You and Ranpo were walking down the streets when you suddenly halt. Ranpo did the same but a tad late. He looked at what you were staring at. You were looking at the crown of F/C roses for a moment. You grabbed Ranpo's wrist, nearly making him trip over as you pushed open the door to the small flower shop. You grab the the crown of roses gently and placed it on the counter in front of the cahsier. "Just this ma'am?" the old man asked as you nodded. Ranpo waited, sometimes tapping his foot impatiently. You heard him and started to grab what you bought in a hurry. Ranpo opened the door for you as you bowed and went out. As you agreed, you both went over to a candy shop that was down the street.

It was probably over 20 minutes and Ranpo was still grabbing snacks. You looked around to help him finish off his shopping quicker. While looking around and putting some chocolates and lollies, you see your F/S. Eyeing it, you grab 2 and plop them in Ranpo's basket. He picked it up and examined it. "What's this?" the puzzled detective asked as he looking at it, tilting his head. "Just a sweet I like, since you act like a childish man, you would probably like this." you said bluntly.
"I am not childish!" he pouted.
"Are too"
"Am not!"
"Are too!" you said and stuck your tongue out at him. He did the same back. You giggled as he still had a pouting look and started giving out his snacks to the cashier. "Just $60 please." the cashier said as she started putting items in the bag. Ranpo took out a credit card, you glanced at it. Only to realize it was yours. "Hey thats mine you doofus!" you explained as you try to snatch it off him. Ranpo was quick to react and put it further away from you. He stuck out his tongue and paid for all the snacks. You sighed as he took the bag, then you both went off.
Both of you walking, you decided to take Ranpo to a nice spot you loved. It was a hill with quite a lot of dandelions with a clear stream beside it. On the other side of this stream was a forest. At the top of the hill was a cherry blossom tree. It was your secret spot that you were willing to share sometimes. Ranpo was surprised and amazed at the sight to behold. You dragged Ranpo up to the top of the hill where the tree was. It wasn't blooming but it was fine, you knew what to do. As you sat down under the tree, you motioned Ranpo to sit next to you. You both looked off from the hill and admired the features of the place. You were going to miss this place, it was a comforting spot as you came up here often. You smiled as the tree, flowers around the place started to bloom. Ranpo opened his eyes in astonishment. He knew what your ability could do. "This is a spot I cherish. I share it with people I think that are worthy of coming." you said as you hugged your knees. The detective nodded in response. You both sat there under the tree quietly for a couple of minutes until you decided to stand up. As the sun was setting and Ranpo looking up at you, you smiled a genuine smile. The cherry blossom tree, dandelions and other flowers near the stream all started to bloom. Your H/C hair blew as the breeze gushed by. Ranpo opened his emerald eyes in astonishment. "This is amazing Y/N-chan!" he said in a childish tone. You nodded slightly as your cheeks tinted a bit of pink. "There is just one last place that I need to go to with you, Ranpo," you said in a kind of sad tone as you walked down the hill and out of the place.

Night fell as you and Ranpo walked the streets. It was only 7:00pm. Both of you walked down a few streets when you finally made it to the spot you needed to be. A police station. "Why are we here?" the detective questioned as you looked to him. "I made a promise a long time ago when I murdered my first victim. The promise was once someone found out my little secret, I would let them come to my death sentence. It sounds a bit stupid but It feels right" you reveal while putting on a sad smile. A few petals fell to the ground and small tears. You grabbed the detective's shoulders to make his head to your level and place the crown of roses on his brown hat. "Keep them. A reminder of your case." you said softly and turned away. Afraid you were, to be caught out after a long time. Not only that but you were gonna miss the world. The cafe, your home, flowers and comfort spot. You were going to lift up your hand to reach for the handle when a hand was felt, gripping your wrist. Ranpo was grabbing your wrist, his eyes open. Your eyes widened in shock. "Just because you've killed many, doesn't mean your going to die right? You can't change your past but you can forget it and change yourself for a better future." he calmly said as he made you turn around as he patted your head. Those words made your heart feel warm and made your stomach do flips. Never have you heard such words said to you. You were always alone with no one to watch your back or make you feel special. That's why you smiled and tried to enjoy life. Because of his words, you started sobbing as you hugged Ranpo. You cried and thanked Ranpo for those words. He didn't return the hug but turned his head to the side as his face was burning up just a bit.
And that's how, the promise you kept for yourself was broken.
