Y/N POV:

BANG BANG BANG

I shot up in my cot. Sweat dripping down my forehead, thinking that we were under attack. I looked at Sarah, my roommate, who was sound asleep. How does she not hear that noise, I thought.

BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG

The constant banging made me rise my bed, ticked off. I opened the door to my room and looked both left and right. No one was down the hallway, so I ventured into the main room.

I crouched behind a corner and saw the Ancient One go to the door and let in someone. He looked like he hadn't slept in a few days and had mangy hair and beard. He stumbled through, begging for another chance and for a teacher. The Ancient One pondered and allowed him, as Kacilieus showed him to his room, which was coming toward me.

I ran back into my room and closed to door, listening as the two men's footsteps faded. I scurried back to bed and fell back asleep.

The next few days, the man whose name was Stephan Strange (who made that known to everyone) was well known in the classes. He became the student in the magic arts classes that kids hate by asking useless questions, remembering work due as well as thinking he knows more than others.

There was one time when I was in the library with some friends, goofing around. It felt like I was at college again, not doing any work at an academic setting. I had an older textbook open in front of me, still at the same spot I started. "There's no way you stole that much stuff," Sarah said.

"We made it a competition between the three of us. That was until the bartender recognized my friend and told a security guard. He pointed at us, and was telling him to stop us as she -"

At this point in the story, I felt the book sliding from underneath me without me moving it. I slammed my hand down on it and looked to my left. Stephan was trying to take the textbook as I had it in my possession. "What's your problem?" I questioned. Everyone was staring at him.

"I need that book," he answered. "You need this specific book when there are multiple others? It's a large library," I said with a disgusted look on my face.
"You don't seem to be using it," he sassed back. I shoved the book into his chest, "Look, pal. A nice person would've come over here and just asked. There's no need to be a dick about a stupid book."

"Everyone else already checked out the other books and this has one of the topics within the upcoming exam. I have been waiting for you to return it for quite some time now and you haven't."

"So you're spying on me?"

"No, I'm eyeing the book."

"But you needed to check on me to see if I even had it, right?" I raised an eyebrow in suspicion. Even though the library was dimly lit, I could see a faint color appear on Stephan's cheeks in embarrassment. "I needed to see where it was. And now that it's here, I will be on my way now," Strange retorted as he quickly exited the building.

The whole table was stunned by my interaction with the doctor. "Wow, I've never seen someone stand up to him like that," Y/F/N commented. "Someone needs to put him in his place," you answered. "I think he likes you," Sarah cooed. I narrowed my eyes at her, "We aren't in high school anymore. Boys can just be mean and rude to people for no reason." The conversation was instantly dropped, and we actually studied for the rest of the evening.

One thing that I did enjoy was when we would practice outside. I personally liked the crisp winds that always come by that make the mystic arts feel more intriguing as ever. I also get to see Strange suffer because he wasn't as good as his study methods say. The Ancient One told him to believe as he was making his portal. I thought that it was interesting that he doesn't believe, was this what the second chance was about?
