(BTW this is 90% inspired by Chris Hemsworth's Thor SNL skit. Please check that out, it's so funny)

Also I don't care if you don't have red hair, I just imagined this with a girl with red hair, don't judge me :) Also, I came up with my own SNL characters because it's the MCU baby :))

Tony was up late, as per usual, working on another suit on a Sunday night. "This is it, Jarvis. Mark 46 will finally have a mini arc reactor," he stated as the blue glow lit up his features. "That is fantastic sir. You have a call on your cell phone." He waved his hand in response, "Let it go to voicemail."

"Here is the message," Jarvis called out.
"Jarvis, it's probably nothing important. You should del-"

"Hi, this is Y/N from the Saturday Night Live crew." Tony's ears perked up when he heard those three fateful words. He felt that he was too political in the past, with his company making military weapons, to be a host for SNL. "If you aren't busy this week, we would appreciate if you'd join us in next we-"

Tony tapped his projector screen to answer as soon as he could, "Hi."
The person on the other end sounded surprised, "Oh, hi. This is Tony Stark?"
"The one and only," he responded.
"I wasn't expecting an answer at 2:32 in the morning. What I wanted to say was -"
"Host SNL? That's a yes from me."
"Great! It's customary for hosts to come in and work on a few scripts for next weeks showing. Do you have any time that works for you consistently throughout the week?"

Their voice sounded fluttery in Tony's ears and he was excited about this opportunity, that he barely looked through his schedule for next week. "Does after 7pm work?"
It sounded like some shuffling of papers and clicking of a mouse before a response of yes was heard on Tony's end. Once the call was ended, he jumped and whooped in excitement.

Since the NBC studios are located in the heart of the city, Tony decided to walk there. He pushed through the side door, ready to start writing the scripts. There were people coming in and out of rooms, holding various costumes, and making themselves busy. He found his way to the receptionist that was tucked to the side.

"Hi, I'm -"

"Tony Stark." The receptionist stated as she checked some paperwork. "Yup, you're a bit late, but that's fine. I'll show you to the reading room." Tony follow her until she stepped aside and ushered him into the door. He saw 3 girls and 2 guys all looking at each others computers, and comparing paperwork. They looked up when Tony lightly coughed.

"Our guest is here. Let's treat him with respect," a female with fiery red hair said as she walked over to him. She brought our her hand to shake, "It's lovely to meet you. I'm Y/N." Tony shook her hand, and snapped his fingers, "You're 2:30 girl. That's where I heard your voice from."

"These hours are not forgiving sometimes." she responded. All of the other people introduced themselves one by one. Tony took a seat by Y/N as the Hispanic male by the name of Derek stood up.

"Mr. Stark, just letting you know, we are a fast paced group of people and yell ideas all the time. If you want to say something, just say it. We're always writing." Tony scoffed in response, "I'm used to just talking out loud. That's why I made JARVIS." Everyone gave him a weird look.

He took out what looked like a slab of metal, but flicked it and a blue light scanned the room. "Hello, sir," the voice of JARVIS came into the room. "Woah, what can he do?" Michelle asked. "He sees and records everything. If you'd like, I can have him out while you throw out ideas."

"That would be perfect," Derek responded. He showed a slide show of each persons ideas of what skit they wanted Tony to be in.

Y/N: Bachelor Skit with Tony being blatantly rude talking about his past playboyness.

Michelle: Iron Man throwing a party at the end of an Avengers level threat

Derek: Average day in the tower gone wrong

Greg: Craigslist Super Soldier Serum

Nancy: What's wrong with the picture (dumb people edition)

Tony was amazed at how different each script was and how genuinely funny each of them are. He was getting along with each castmate fondly. Michelle really liked his sense of humor about himself, especially when he told her about Bruce falling asleep during their "therapy" session. Derek was super interested in Tony's technological advancements and was always amazed whenever JARVIS came forth. Greg's sarcastic humor matched Tony's too well and they found ways to incorporate them into his monologue for the show. Nancy was super helpful to Tony about costuming, makeup and knows how to keep the crew energized in the long hours.

Tony liked all of them equally, except for Y/N. She was above them all in Tony's eyes. Y/N had this knack for comedy that was so unique and he was eating out of the palm of her hand the first script review.

"Now Tony," Y/N had asked. "I know I've asked a hundred times but-"

"I do not care that you will exploit my past tabloids. Isn't that why I'm here? To poke fun at the past."

Y/N chuckled, "I know some people are fine up until reading the script and I just want to make sure you're on board."

He grabbed her hand lightly and looked into her eyes, "I am fully committed."

"Okay, we'll start from the top." She commanded as everyone was shuffling to their seats. Y/N gave Tony a soft smile as he started reading the script aloud. There were lots of snickers and a few people burst into laughter before containing themselves to read their lines.

Tony even saw the soft side of Y/N. She was compassionate and genuinely cared for his well-being. There was one time in particular where Y/N helped Tony through a rough situation. It was when they were rehearsing for Michelle's skit, which had her being the reporter as Greg was interview the Avengers after a big fight.

Tony had to charismatically stroll onto the scene and snatch the microphone from Greg to say his lines. It should have been easy, but with the scene being set up to look like the devastation from New York, Tony paused.

His mind flashed with images of fighting that day, all the damage that came with it, all that he caused, the wormhole and what he saw. Tony peeled off before he thought anyone would notice to take a breather outside. He felt his breath shorten and his heartbeat getting faster, as he held onto the wall for support.

At least, Tony thought no one would notice. Y/N saw him, crouched on the ground, heaving and shaking. "Tony, oh my god," she said as she clambered over to him, "you're fine. You're okay, you're going to be okay." She rubbed circles on his back to comfort and kept reminding him to steady his breathing. The calm energy she had was able to stabilize Tony, as he stood up and held his stance without wavering.

He still kept his back to her, ashamed that someone saw him so vulnerable. "If you ever need to talk, I'm always here to listen." He shook his head, "You wouldn't understand."

"When I was 15, I was the lead in my school's musical Legally Blonde. I know, kinda corny but I loved it. I was hated on for it, because I got the lead role as a freshman in high school. I would have panic attacks all the time before going on stage because I didn't want to let anyone down or mess up the production." Tony turned to face her as she continued speaking, "I know I don't understand what you must endure, but I do know that everyone makes mistakes, and that your intentions are good." He blinked before pulling her in a tight hug. Y/N was shocked before squeezing him back.
