"Terrance," I said, sitting a chair down in front of him.
Cassius stood behind me.
"Rowan," Terrance seethes as he looks at me through one eye. The other was busted.
Colton had put him in a constrictor's knot bind before I got here.
"Is this another one of your setups?" I asked him.
He looked up at me and chuckled, revealing his bloody teeth. "It's been months, how is the girl?" he asked with a mischievous smile.
I jumped up and grabbed his head, banging it into the pillar he was tied against.
He released a satisfying grunt of pain before chuckling again. "I must have hit a nerve."
"I killed Gregg," I spoke, sitting back down. "I killed John, and I killed Carl."
A look of fear crossed his face swiftly. "And what happens once the killing spree is over, aye?" he asked hoarsely, his Scottish accent making my ears bleed.
I brought out a knife and looked at it.
"I'm assuming that I will continue to live knowing that I got a group of rapists off of the streets," I said as I twirled the end of the knife around my fingertip.
"And you think my people won't come to kill you and the girl?" he asked me.
I brought the knife to his neck, looking him in the eye. "If you speak on her name again, I will slaughter your entire family."
Terrance laughed loudly, choking on his blood.
Carl reminded me of her pain. Her screams as that sick fuck tried to take advantage of her.
The satisfaction I felt emptying that slip down his spine was tremendous. But, now was not the time.
I heard Colton's phone go off and I looked up.
He took the call, nodded, and then hung up.
Without a second thought, I ran the knife across Terrance's throat.
Shock took over his face as he threw his hands over the gash. Blood spilled from his mouth as I stood there, watching the life drain from his eyes.
"Howard, Steve, and Will are over in Italy," Colton said sliding his phone in his back pocket.
I nodded and dropped the knife by his body.
Cassius grabbed my arm in a tight grip. I looked back at him.
"You just started a war," he said in a low voice.
I nodded. "That may be true, frate, but I am ready."
He gave me a once over before nodding his head slowly. "You need to remove Scarlett from the equation."
I stared at him for a second longer. "No."
I wasn't going to let her leave me. That wasn't an option. She could stay here with me. That way, I knew she was safe. I could have my eye on her at all times. I couldn't send her away.
"She's going to get in your way, Rowan," he said.
I shook my head. "She's not."
"Rowan, you've changed since she got here. You act like the sun rises and falls on her," Colton said.
I tightened my jaw before releasing a breath. "You don't get to speak freely about her," I turned around and told him. "You tried to kill her."
He took a step back and shook his head. "I'm also the reason why she's back, so I think I've done my fair share of paying it back."
Confusion swept over me. "What are you talking about?" I asked.
"I was the one she called last night to come to get her from Santee's," Colton spoke. "She sounded scared and basically demanded that I rushed to get her."
I looked down.
She didn't tell me that.
"Did he touch her?" I asked, immediately getting angry.
Colton shrugged his shoulders before Cassius spoke.
"And that is why we need to get her from away from this mess. If someone says her name the wrong way, you get pissed."
"You act like you can't live without her," Colton added.
"I can't," I yelled, turning around to face him.
"And if you keep her here, you will end up living without her; literally," Colton said.
I knew they were right.
We were just fixing things. I didn't want to lose her trust again. I didn't want to lose her.
But, I didn't want to lose her.
"What do we do with her?" I asked them, finally giving in.
I knew that Scarlett was clouding my mind. She had that control over me ever since I put her on that plane with me eight months ago. Telling me that she loved me threw me completely off of my game. I haven't been able to get that out of my head for months now.
"We send her off with dad and Cassi," Cassius spoke.
"No," I spoke without hesitation.
I wasn't going to leave Scarlett in the hands of father. I trusted Cassia, but if I sent her to Rome with Cass, she would be left behind. Cass would be busy working or hanging out with her friends. I didn't want my sister to feel like a babysitter, and I didn't want Scar to feel like she needed to be babysat.
"Who else can make sure she's protected?" Colton asked.
I plopped down in the chair facing Terrance's dead body. They stood in front of me and Colton crossed his arms.
"You."
He stared me down for a second longer than I liked before shaking his head. "Nah, man. I need to be here with you."
"You know how important she is to me and how serious this whole situation is."
"It's not a bad idea," Cassius agreed with me. I returned my gaze to Colton.
"It's going to be a long ass ride," he said with a small smile.
I chuckled as I stood up, pulling him in for a bro hug. "Don't worry, she'll sleep the majority of the time."

A short chapter, I know. I didn't know what else to write. Writing from Rowan's point of view is difficult because I prefer to keep his feelings and thoughts secrete for Scarlett to reveal to you guys.
Thank you so much for the increasing views. Now, let's get those views up to match! New chapter coming before the end of the week! It's going to be a long one with tons of emotions and scene twists. Hopefully.
