"Fun!"

I looked up from my stack of papers at the sound of rushing footsteps.

My door swung open, and my body relaxed when I saw Colton standing there.

"What is it?" I asked with a raised eyebrow as he stood there, trying to catch his breath.

"Gregg," he huffed.

I arched an eyebrow again.

He put his hands on his hips and bent over, still fighting — and clearly failing — to catch his breath.

"We caught him up at the subway in New Jersey. Lorenzo and his team are tracking him now. If he gets out reach, he'll have to kill him hisself."

I couldn't allow that to happen.

I rose from my desk, planting my hands firmly against the edging. "Are you sure it is him?" I asked.

Every hit on Gregg Selks eventually turned into a goose chase. It's been five years and I'm honestly tired of the planted false leads. I wanted him dead.

I wanted his blood to run through my fingers like water.

I wanted his body cold enough to chill wine.

I wanted him gone.

I needed him gone.

"Tell Robert to get me a jet," I said as I grabbed my gun out of my drawer. I made sure it was fully loaded and clean before putting in my waistband. After putting my suit jacket on, I looked at myself in the mirror before clicking my teeth.

"What about the girl?" he asked.

I turned to him. "What about her?"

"She has a phone. She'll be here with the Grace, but-"

"I'm not worried about her."

He looked at me with a blank stare.

I sighed. "We'll be back before she even wakes up, if not earlier."

He shook his head. "You're making a bad-"

Anger bubbled inside of me, and I grabbed the nearest thing I could find before hurling it in his direction.

The glass shattered against the wall. Some pieces stuck to it as the whiskey that was dripping down the wall.

"Don't question me, Colton," I growled as I watch him recover from the shock.

"What the hell?" he asked, eyes widened.

"I said to tell Robert to bring me my jet. Instead of me wasting my breath with you, I could be half way to New Jersey."

His lips thinned and all emotion left his face. "One day, I'll kill you," he said before walking out.

I smirked and poured myself another glass of whiskey.

"Margaret," I called out for the maid to come clean up the mess he made.

I watched the woman get out of the car, slamming it behind her. She seemed to be angry. Three children got out of the backseats with puffy eyes.

It was 3 PM here meaning it was around nine o'clock in Barcelona. My Scarlett was fast asleep.

The man I recognized as Gregg hopped out of the car, pointing a finger to the woman who was fishing through her purse looking for something. She turned to him and said something that made him slap her.

I heard it in the car meaning, it could've echoed through their peaceful, suburban neighborhood. She fell to the ground, gripping her jaw and glaring at him.

"Americans," I muttered, getting out of the car.

I slammed the door loud enough to get his attention. He looked up at me with a angry expression before panic set in his eyes.

I stormed over to him with my gun in my hand.

The little girl ran to the woman. I smirked at her before pointing the gun to the woman who was obviously her mom. The woman looked back at me, gasping. "Gregg," she whispered.

His eyes met mine again as he took a step back, attempting to look a little more confident. "Gregg," I cheered as I held my arms out, attempting to hug him. He moved back.

"Rowan."

I chuckled as I aimed the gun. "We have some unfinished business to attend to," I said.

I plastered a confused look on my face. "We're not strangers, Gregg," I spoke. "Why don't you invite me inside?"

"Stay away from me and my wife," he said. His voice came out shaky and choked up.

I looked down at his pathetic life he built. Three kids and a wife. "You did this," she spat at Gregg.

"I'm sorry, honey," he spoke.

"In the house, Selks," I growled as I was getting tired of the dialogue.

Too much dialogue irritated me. I just wanted to listen to my music and feel blood.

He fumbled in his pocket, and I heard a jingle. A satisfied grin rested on my face.

"This is going to be fun," I said, clapping his back roughly which earned a pained grunt from him.
