Hanji's POV
"Dammit," I scowled, rubbing my sprained ankle. There were one of the moonlight titans around... scared the crap out of me as their mouth were open, almost like it would've attacked me, and I shifted into this cat form immediately. I didn't fall correctly, but that didn't sprain my ankle. The horse fell onto my cat leg, and that caused the sprain. I climbed up the nearest tree as high as I could before shifting back.
The pain in my ankle hurt as I gently massaged it. With that damn moonlight titan at the base of the tree around 2 am in the morning... I can't escape it. Not in my injured state. Looking down at the groaning titan, I should be able to get some sort of sleep until daybreak. Hopefully the titan leaves before... sun...rise...
Before I knew it... I closed my eyes and passed out.
* * *
Faintly, I heard someone calling my name. I didn't open my eyes because no one should be out here. Yet it was so persistent. "Leave me alone..." I murmured, sighing heavily. Out here alone with just me, myself, and I; I already know that I'm insane to the brink where I talk to myself sometimes. It had to be my mind calling for me, right?
Wrong.
I heard the familiar sound of the wires zipping and gas releasing from the 3D-Maneuver Gear. I didn't open my eyes until I felt someone gripping my shirt tightly and shouting in my face.
"Hanji! Wake up!"
"Eh...?" Peeking a bit, I was met with a very angry Levi. "L-Levi...?" I shook my head, groaning. "I'm imagining things... you're not real..."
"Oh, I am very real, Hanji Zoe." He growls softly, pushing me against the tree trunk. "Why the hell did you run off here? Huh?! You could've been killed and no one would've known! You're valuable to me, Hanji! To everyone! What happens if you were killed out here?!"
My eyes rolled, groaning softly. "You're not real." A soft chuckle left my lips as I smiled. "Ohh... I see now. I've imagining Levi here to... rescue the damsel in distress... hah, I'm no damsel. Ugh... my head must be aching to the point I've fallen against the tree. Where's my water?"
The figment of my imagination rolled his eyes and scowled. "You seriously lost your mind? Finally. What can I do snap you back to me?"
"Hm... something Levi would never do on a daily basis, but he would do it because he knows me too well."
"The hell is that supposed to mean?"
"You're supposed to know. You're part of my head, right Levi? Oh... wait, it's the other way around. The illusion of Levi needs to prove he's the real Levi... the illusion would only do something to me that I only imagined him doing to me. If you're not the illusion, do something the real Levi would ever do."
I chuckled, sipping on some water to revive my dry throat.
I heard him say it so quietly, which made me doubt if this Levi was, in fact, an illusion. "I can't believe I'm doing this." Just before I tried to speak to him about what he was talking about, I felt something land on my lips.
"He-"
Something slithered in my mouth, and this time, I wasn't imagining it. Straining to keep my eyes open, I only saw Levi with his eyes closed... and I saw how peaceful he was. His hands were on my cheekbones, but after the kiss on my lips, he slid them down onto my waist. How he pulled me closer into him... and how much he pushed himself onto me... this was... real.
Levi kissed me again, tilting his head to another angle. I couldn't resisting letting out a moan and kissing him back. My eyelids closed as I embraced the kisses from him.
