Hi everyone!
I know it's been some time. I am sorry for this very late update. Truth be told I've been very busy with school, my school year hasn't even finished yet and a new one has begun. I'll explain what I mean when I finish this book. Hopefully it will be soon. Anyway, I had finally time to right a new chapter so here it is. Enjoy!!!

~The next morning~

Still in fairytale land

Author's POV

The adults woke up the next day and got ready for the day that waited them and the patrols that came with it.

"Ah! Just like old times!" Mark said smiling while walking in the living room of the castle dressed in his armor.

"Yes but with certain noticeable differences" Niko commented.

"Hey, you shut up! You have no reason to complain. You've been wearing armour almost all the time. And you look just as good in it like when we were back at school." Dahlia (Astoria's mom) said while looking at him with a wry smile. At the same time Niko noticed Clara entering the room wearing her best smirk with Dave following close behind.

"What are you smiling at?" Niko asked his best friend.

"May I comment on what Dahlia said in my very own special way?" Clara answered him, her smile never living her face.

"Don't you dare!" Niko said harshly, knowing exactly what Clara had in mind, while also turning bright red.

"Oh come on. You know how much I love messing with you" Clara told him in the most innocent way she could master. Thankfully Samantha (Joy's mom) notice Dave standing there looking rather uncomfortable.

"Are you nervous? " She asked as she approached him, living Clara and Niko back in their little argument. He turned to her and gave her a small sad smile.

"That obvious? " He asked and in response she nodded.

"I guess I'm a little out of my comfort zone. This whole fairytale thing is still a bit new to me. But I am happy to see Clara so happy with her friends again" He told her.

"And that's why you fit in just fine with us. You might not have any kind of magic but you certainly have  the heath of a true hero" Mark said to him and gave him a tap on the back that had a little more force than Dave could handle. That reminded him...

"One question. How are you not bothered by the weight of your armor? I feel like I am going to lose my balance ar any given time" Dave playfully complained which made almost everyone chuckled.

"Well, to tell you the truth Dave, we are just used to it. We've been wearing armour since our early school days" Eve explained. The adults kept talking while living the castle to go to the yard in order to meet with their dragons who were to help them with the patrols.
