Chapter 26: A change of heart

I am back. I know it's been a while. I've been very busy with school work but I finally found the time to write a new chapter. Enjoy!

~A few days back~

•Back in Fairytale Land•

Author's POV

Kira was sitting in the garden gassing at the flowers. She was thinking and wonder. Wondering how this week will turn out. Thinking about how possible it is that this week could always be her last. Wondering what Vicky is up too because knowing her, there is no way she was going to pass such an opportunity. She also kept asking her self why she fell for her grandmother's lies. All these thoughts were overwhelming.

A presence came and broke her stream of thoughts.

"Hey. What are you doing here all alone? " The young boy asked her.

"Hi Cyrus. Just thinking. Nothing much" Kira answered to the prince that just sat beside her.

"So what are you thinking?" He asked again in a more enthusiastic tone. Kira sighed. She thought whether to tell him everything and expose him to the truth or should she keep her mouth shut and spare him the burden of knowing. She then realised that she wasn't able to keep it in her anymore and told him everything.

Something inside her told her she could trust him. After she finished he was in shock.

"Oh" He said astonished.

"That's a lot to take in" He continued.

"I know. That's why I'm trying to think what the next best move would be. Vicky has lethal information, the gang is on Earth trying their best to restore belief and I am here, doing nothing" Kira said and put her head between her hands. Cyrus felt bad and put a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

"I am sure everything will be alright" He said but deep down he was terrified.

"How exactly is everything going to be alright?" She questioned him. That's when his face dropped.

"I don't know. But let me know if I can do everything to help you" He told her. Kira was confused with Cyrus sudden change of behavior. Since when did he volunteer to help anyone? She decided to let it go for the time being. Then a thought crossed her mind which made her face light up.

"Actually I think I know how you can help me" She said, grabbed his arm and dragged him to the dragon arena where they took their dragons and flew to the Snow Queen castle.

~At Snow Queen castle~

"What are we doing here Kira? And what are you looking for? " Cyrus aked Kira. They were at Snow Queen castle and more specifically in Kira's room. She was looking for that very special book which opens the secret passage.

After a few more minutes she found it and went through the dark corridor. Not long after they found themselves in a dark room.

"This one was different. Unlike the others, this had electric blue lightbulbs instead of torch. Kira eventually found the switch and turned on the lights. It was a simple room with four walls and no windows. In the middle of the room was a pedestal with a huge book on it.

Kira smiled. She found the thing that she was looking for. She thought that there couldn't be an incomplete book of the History of Fairytale Land like the one the gang found in Cinderella castle. So she decided to go look for the real on at Snow Queen castle. It turns out she was right after all.

She went closer to the book, with Cyrus following close behind, and opened it. She turned the page to the beginning of the chapter she wanted to read. She started reading. After some minutes she finally found something interesting.

Her eyes widened at what she read. This was not at all good. She had to harry if second wanted to make it in time. She closed the book in a panic. Unfortunately Cyrus noticed her strange behavior.

"What's wrong? " He asked her.

"I have to go" Kira answered and started to run out of the room.

"Where are you going? " Cyrus asked her again this time even more confused.

"To the bottom of the ocean" Kira yelled and run faster with Cyrus running behind her.

~At the bottom of the ocean~

Kira and Cyrus were swimming in deep waters looking around for something old and big. Right often Kira found the exact coordinates she needed, she took her bathing suit along with the proper equipment for such situations and was on her way. Unfortunately for her Cyrus insisted that he taggs along, so she had no other choice but to let him come.

After a while they finally found what they were looking for. An old shipwreck.

Kira gasped at the site of the huge ship. After some time of taking everything in, she started to swim towards it. Cyrus didn't liked it but in the end he followed her.

"Kira was looking everywhere in the ship for that special something she was looking for. The ship itself was a little bit creepy. Some rooms gave the impression that it could be hunted or that some sort of curse had fallen upon it and it's crew. Speaking of the crew, the two teenagers couldn't find any sings of life anywhere. Where ever they looked it was just fish or nothing and that nothing freaked them out the most.

They were starting to lose hope when that arrived at the last inches room, the Captain's Cabin. Kira and Cyrus looked at each other nervously. Kira touched the door handle and slowly and cautiously opened the door.

They went in and found another empty room. Or so they thought. The cabin was simple. There were some maps and paintings almost everywhere, that surprisingly had survived years of being exposed into water and precursor, a bed, a small bookshelf and a desk with a chair that was turned around so its back was facing the desk.

Kira decided to swim towards the small balcony that was in the other side of the room. The balcony doors were a little bit difficult to open but in the end she managed to open them. She stepped outside and admired the beautiful view of the ocean. Cyrus sudden scream broke her quite and she immediately run to him.

"What's wrong Cyrus?" Kira asked.

"I was just looking around at the paintings on the walls when I heard the chair turning around. I turned around to see what was happening and I saw this! " Cyrus said completely freaked out and pointed at the chair. On it were sitting two human skeletons! That were fully dressed, a male and a female. They were holding a dig crystal part that was probably from a bigger sphere.

Kira wanted to scream but she kept her cool. After a moment she realized that the object they have been looking for was in front of the, on the skeletons lap.

Despite Cyrus efforts to persuade her not to go near them or the object they were holding because it could be cursed, she still went closer and grabbed the sphere. Kira and Cyrus then swam away from the ship as fast as they could due to their fear.

There was one thing that Kira didn't quit understand. Why was the male wearing an apple brooch and the female a crystal necklace with small snowflakes decorating it?

And this is it for now. As I said earlier, I have tunes of work to do so I don't know when I'll be able to update again. And I feel anyone of you have a problem with the dead and spooky things I am sorry for the skeleton part but I had to write it. Anyway, I hope you liked it and I'll see you next time.
