The Night Before

*Annemarie's POV*

*One Week Later*

So our short break is finally coming to an end and all we have been doing is fighting today. We decided to wait until the last minute to pack and let me tell you, never again will that happen. Let's just say, it's going to be a long tour.

"GIRLS, CAN YOU PLEASE STOP FIGHTING FOR FIVE MINUTES AND COME AND EAT! DINNER'S GETTING COLD!" Liam yelled from the kitchen.

"COMING!" We yelled back in sync.

We all gave each other a quick glare before retreating downstairs for dinner.

"Finally, some peace and quiet." Liam mumbled as we shuffled into the dinning room.

"Well, don't get too happy. We'll probably end up fighting about something after dinner. We're about halfway done with packing." Emily replied to her father.

"You're not done packing yet?" Liam asked in confusion.

"Nope." We replied, popping the 'p'.

"But you girls have been packing all day. What's taking so long?" Liam asked in disbelief.

"Well, fighting could be an issue." I replied with some sarcasm.

"What on earth could you girls be fighting about? You girls never fight. You're practically sisters." Liam asked us with a confused tone.

"Even sisters fight." Jessica mumbled.

"We're just fight about stupid things, like clothes and jewlery." Emily replied to her father, ignoring Jessica's last comment.

Liam just looked at us like we had five heads. Really?

"We've been borrowing each others things since we've moved in. I guess we've never returned them, so we're just trying to figure out where everything is." Alex explained.

Liam suddenly had a look of realization, and went back to eating.

"So, you girls ready for tour?" Liam said after a moment of silence.

"As ready as we'll ever be." Jessica replied.

"You love saying that don't you." I say while everyone, even Jessica, laughs.

"Whatever." Jessica says.

"Do your families know that they're going to the concert tomorrow?" Liam asked.

Suddenly the girls and I gave each other wide-eyed look, before fumbling for our phones.

"I'm going to take that as a no." I heard Liam say as we all went in separate rooms to call our families. Lucklily my father answered on the second ring.

"Annemarie, did you find out anything? Did you find him?" Dad rambled.

"What, dad, no." I said in a questioning tone.

"Then why'd you call?" Dad questioned.

"Yes dad, nice to hear from you too. I'm doing fine. How are you doing?" I say sarcastically.

I hear him chuckle from his end of the phone, before answering.

"Sorry. How are you?" Dad asks.

"I'm doing great. How are you doing?" I asked with concern. I know that I haven't been answering his calls lately, but I'm actually worried about him. I think he's still a little shaken up about Liam's 'disappearance'.

"I'm hanging in there." Dad replied.

"He's going to come back dad. He wouldn't just leave his family and friends like that." I assured him.

"I hope you're right." Dad mumbled.

There was a moment of silence between us before I realized the real reason why I called.

"Well, I better get going." Dad said.

"Wait, dad." I said quickly, before he could hang up.

"Yeah?" He asked with confusion.

"Tomorrow's our first show in London, to kick off our first world tour. I have two front row tickets left over if you want them. For you and mom, I mean." I explained, hoping he would say yes. Otherwise it would ruin the whole plan.

"Of course, sweetheart. We wouldn't miss it for the world." Dad said with a sudden happiness.

"Okay. Don't be late. And you're not going to be able to come backstage before the show because the girls and I will be busy getting ready for the show. But you're more than welcome to come backstage afterward. I already put the word out to security." I explained to him.

"Okay. Can't wait." Dad replies simply.

"Well, I've got to go finish packing." I told him.

"Okay. Bye, sweetheart. Love and miss you." Dad tells me.

"Love and miss you too. And tell mom I miss and love her too." I reply.

"I will." Dad said simply before we both hung up.

I made my way back to the dinner table, where everyone was sitting. How are they done already?

"How are you guys done already?" I asked in confusion.

"Annemarie, we were on the phone for about 10 minutes." Emily says.

"Yeah, so?" I asked in confusion.

"You were on for about a half an hour." Jamie states.

"Oh." Was all that cam out of my mouth as I looked down at my food.

"I think you girls should go finish packing. You have to girls have to get up early to put your things on the bus." Liam suggests as we all nodd in agreement.

"Love you!" We all called back at Liam as we made our way upstairs after putting our dishes in the sink.

I know what you're thinking, 'Why are you saying I love you to Liam. He's not your father.' Well over the past month, the girls and I have gotten much closer to Liam. As a matter of fact, we were all close with all of our fathers before we moved. But since Liam has been staying with us, he has become sort of like a second father to Alex, Jessica, Jamie, and I.

"ANNEMARIE!" Jamie yelled, bringing me back into reality.

"What?" I asked in confusion.

"Are you going to pack some time tonight or are you going to keep standing at the top of the stairs all night, staring into space?" Jamie said with sarcasm as she made her way back into her room.

This is definitely going to be one long tour.
