It is mine and Paytons one month 'anniversary' today and I'm way to nervous. I know he has something planned, which is fine and I don't care about that, he planned it with Sydney which is what has me nervous. I've told Sydney the cute dates that are so cute they are cringy that I would go on, I swear if he shows up to my house with flowers then I might dump him on the spot. I really just want to stay in and do nothing all night but he said we have to go on a proper date at least once. I'm sitting on my bed when my sister and Sydney walk into my room.
"Please tell me that is not what you are wearing for the date" Sydney says doing a one over on what I'm wearing
"What this is my finest pair of sweat pants and hoodie" I joke as she sits at the end of my bed not finding my joke funny
"Do you know what your wearing later because if not I will pick an outfit for you" she says and I know she would pick the girliest thing I own
"Yes I have an outfit picked, I have a plan for me getting ready as well. Can I know what's happening lasted or not" I ask hoping she will tell me
"Of course....not. It's a surprise and don't worry it won't be anything you hate" she says but I'm not convinced that she means it
"Ok well I was just about to get ready so I'm going to go have a shower" I say getting up from my bed and Sydney takes my place
I go to my wardrobe and take out the black dress I'm wearing and take it to the bathroom with me. I start the shower, take my towel out of the cupboard and get undressed. I start playing music, specifically my one direction playlist, then I get in the shower. I do the usual hair wash, body wash and shave but I also do a hair mask because why not. I get out and wrap my hair in a towel before wrapping one around my body, I brush my teeth and get dressed. I walk out of the bathroom and as soon as I walk out Aria and Sydneys eyes are on me.
"What" I say cluless even though I know they are staring at my outfit
"Didn't know you like dresses like that that's all" Aria says before moving her attention back to the tv
"Its summer and hot today so I'm wearing a dress, is that such a crime" I say picking up my usual make up off my desk
"No what she means is you usually wear something that's plain black and that is the complete opposite" Sydney says as she follows me to the bathroom and I look at my outfit
"Yeah ok but I still look good" I say as I start my make up, today I'm going with concealer, mascara, eyeliner and a bit of blush because I look a bit paler than usual
"Your right you do" she says before leaving the bathroom
It doesn't take long for me to finish what I'm doing, when I'm done I take my hair down from the towel and its pretty much dry. I quickly blow dry then put heat protectant on it before straightening it. I put my rings and necklaces on before leaving the bathroom and putting some stuff away in my room.
Aria turns to me and says "Damn your hair is straighter that your sexuality" then laughs at her lame ass joke
"You think your so funny, you've said that to me before so why don't you come up with something original next time" I say and she shuts up
I walk to her room at take a selfie in her mirror because her room is actually tidy and mine isn't. I go back to my room and sit on my bed next to Sydney and for some reason Aria is now on the floor. I get a text for Payton saying he is on his way so I go get my shoes on and kick everyone out of my room. I wait downstairs and while i'm waiting I post on instagram.

I sit on my sofa mindlessly scrolling on Instagram while I wait for Payton, soon enough there's a knock at the door and I let him in. I grab my bag and put the last few things I need in it, I say goodbye to my mum then we leave. We get in his car and Payton starts driving, there's no music just silence. Its not awkward but I wait for him to talk first.
"So can I know what we are doing or where we are going" I ask once I realise he's not going to speak
"Ok so I wanted to do something like go to a restaurant but I know that would have been to basic for you so I asked Sydney for some ideas. She suggested a picnic in a field because you read something with that in it" Payton explains, I know exactly what Sydney was talking about and I can guarantee she didn't tell him how it ends
"Do you know what happens at the end of the picnic in the thing I read" I ask and he shakes his head "OK anyway where are we going"
"To a field but its like an hour away" Payton says "You can connect to the aux and play music"
That's exactly what I do, I play my main playlist and its a mixture of songs that come on but I quickly get bored of that and play SOUR by Olivia Rodrigo. She just had to release an album full of break up song while I'm in a relationship. Once the album ends Payton connects his phone and plays music, we sing along and have a god time. We end up going off road and parking in the field by a tree, we lay down blankets and Payton gets out foods.
"Its only picky bits because I knew you would have had lunch by now" Payton says and he's not wrong, I had lunch while I waited
"Its fine I like all this anyway" I say as we sit down
