Background: They aren't together but sleep together at this point though it's set early on in that area
Title: Milk first?
Breakfast.
Did Dream have any clue what it stood for? No.
Had he asked what it meant? Yes!
Did George know what it meant? No, not a damn clue.
It was however, apparently an important part of the human diet. Not that you would be able to tell that with George's enthusiasm towards it.
"Dream we need to get up." He managed through a yawn. His eyelids were heavy with sleep and even as he said the words he, just like the demon, showed no signs of moving, obviously content in his position.
Dream still found it so confusing about humans. How they needed so much sleep to power their week and feeble bodies. If he has a demon slept as much as the human did he would be dead within minutes. I mean, wasting thousands of dwindling hours in a short lifetime on something so useless as laying with your eyes closed.
It was complete and utter nonsense. Especially with the quantity of it that little Georgie seemed to require.
It was always sleep this, sleep that, I'm tired and I need to relax.
It made no sense.
Of course Dream had indeed needed it once, long, long ago; but he was sure he did not need as much as George. I mean it was ridiculous.
"Mm'kay." The demon responded to the human, not making a muscle to move as he looked down at George.
"M'kay." The brunette mirrored, and although he was the one that had decided they needed to get up, he also seemed to be the one that was going right back to sleep.
He was practically squashed up against the demons side, his head using the blondes chest as a pillow, Dream only now realising how his own arm was hooked around the human, helping hold him in his comfortable position.
Despite the annoying ness of the human sleep schedule, he did find it kind of cute when George yawned sleepily or rubbed the tiredness from his eyes, hair ruffled and oversized shirt hanging slightly off his shoulder.
"I thought we were getting up?" Dream teased, poking the human in the cheek who meekly batted the hand away, blinking as he attempted to remove the sleep from his eyes.
"We are getting up." George replied, but even as he said this the only movement he made was simply to get more comfortable on the pillow that was Dream's toned stomach.
Most mornings were like this, George complaining they needed to get up and then complaining again that he was too tired and needed more sleep. The only alternative to this was that when they, like now, gave into the inevitability that was extra sleep, he would sleep through apparently extremely 'important' things he would then, later on, complain about the fact Dream hadn't woken him up in time.
It was a funny cycle.
And of course, dipping into that cycle it wasn't till an hour later that they actually did clamber out of bed. George was still, of course, the tired sleepy mess that he was in the hours before, and even as he walked out of the bedroom and towards the kitchen cupboards he wore a yawn on his face.
