"Hey Kenma, we should hang out sometime," Kuroo says as we walk to our next class.

"I don't know..," I respond. I'm not sure why, but y/n doesn't let me bring anyone over. Maybe it's because of the bullying, or maybe they don't want the authorities to get involved. Whatever the reason people can't come over.

But then again I never asked. Most of the time before y/n was there, Kuroo and I would just show up at each other's houses. Our parents didn't question anything since we were so close. But since my parents went on their business trip, I told Kuroo that I don't think I can be hanging out as much.

"It's been like what? A month? Your parents won't mind" he says.

"Yeah well my parents aren't home today," I say. 'Or for the next month or so' I say in my head.

"If there's a secret you're trying to hide, I can handle it. But then again, you're not the best at keeping secrets," he ponders.

"Yeah yeah, say what you want. But if you show up, I can almost guarantee that no one is going to open the door," I say.

"We'll see," he smirks as he heads off in a different direction.

I hear the doorbell ring and I head over to see who it is. Y/n gets there first, so I hang around to see who it is.

I had already forgotten about the conversation Kuroo and I had earlier today. I'd thought that he was joking, which is something he does very often.

"Uh hi I'm looking for Kenma?" He says looking past y/n into the house, "did they move? The furniture looks the same," he exclaims.

"What do you need him for?" I hear y/n say.

"I just wanna hang out with him. It's been a while so I thought ,why not?" He laughed rubbing his palms together as if he were trying to get someone's phone number.

I can see my right through his act. Besides the fact that he is trying to get inside when I told him it wasn't going to be likely, he is taking this an opportunity to flirt with y/n.

Maybe he hasn't realized who they are yet.

"By the way, are you like Kenma's cousin or something? Because you are really pretty," he says.

I assume y/n must've given them some sort of look because he goes on to say, "I meant that as a compliment, in case you didn't get that,"

"Thanks," they say in a monotone voice looking at their phone. They turn to the house before calling my name. "Kenma! You got a friend!" They yell before heading to the couch.

I wait a while before going so it doesn't seem like I was watching. "You don't have to continue standing in the doorway like that," y/n says.

It seems that Kuroo snapped out of whatever funk he was in because he finally steps inside. He takes his shoes off before joining y/n on the couch.

I can tell he is nervous by the way he is wiping his hands on his pants.

"Hey Kuroo," I say stepping from around the corner.

"Hey Kenma," he responds. After that, there is just silence. Maybe because y/n was there and Kuroo was trying to impress them, or because we haven't hung out in a while, but it was just super awkward.

"Let me show you this game I found out about," I say beckoning him to follow me up the stairs. He follows reluctantly.

Once we get to my room he falls onto my bed and lets out a breath. "Bro were you trying to keep this hottie to yourself?"

"What?" I say turning away from my console.

"The person downstairs. Their fucking hot! Do you think you can set me up," he asks sitting up excitedly.

"No, but good luck getting with them," I respond turning away from him.

I'm surprised I'm not concerned with Kuroo trying to get with y/n. Maybe this is just me putting my trust that y/n won't go for Kuroo. Or me thinking Kuroo himself doesn't stand a chance. But whatever the reason, I don't bat an eye when I see kuroo leave to pursue them.

I do my absolute best to keep my mind off of him, but my curiosity gets the best of me. What is his plan to get y/n's attention? Will y/n fall for it?

I silently creep out of my room. I sit on the first few steps out of sight as I listen to what is going on.

"I feel like I know you," Kuroo says. 'What a great way to start a conversation' I think to myself.

"You probably do," y/n responds. 'They are very chill about this'

"What do you mean?" He asks.

"Well I definitely remember you. But you not remembering me isn't really a concern of mine," y/n explains.

"But have we had a conversation or something, because you seem so... familiar,"

"Yes we've had conversations, many actually. But you always kept them short,"

I recall back to when during school I would be avoiding y/n for whatever reason and so they would try to talk to Kuroo. Guess he didn't like them back then. I never would've guessed he was an appearance guy.

I get tired of sitting on the stairs and head to the kitchen. I try not to look suspicious as I repeatedly look through the pantry for something to "eat".

"Can I get your name?" He asks.

"Y/n," is all they say. If it wasn't because of their tone of voice, I wouldn't know how bored they thought the conversation is.

"You mean, the person who used to date Kenma?" He asks. By the escalation in his voice, I assume he is surprised. But I would be too if the roles were flipped.

A small silence was broken when y/n says, "No we are not friends with benefits if that's what your wondering,".

'Kuroo knows I'm not that type of guy, why would he be wondering that?' I think to myself

Suddenly the front door opens. Suna then walks in and looks at Kuroo and y/n sitting on the couch. They were at least 4 feet apart, mostly because y/n has their legs sprawled their legs upon it.

I honestly forgot about Suna for a moment. Where was he? What does he have going on?

"Hello?" He says. I can't tell if it was more of a question, or him trying to break the awkward silence.

"Uh hi. I'm Kuroo Tetsuro" Kuroo says standing up.

"Suna Rintaro",

"I'll just be on my way home," he says abruptly then leaves. Suna steps out of the way as Kuroo heads out.

"He said he was here to hang out with Kenma, I don't know how he ended up talking to me," is all y/n says after Suna gives her a questioning look.

I guess Suna believes them because he doesn't question anymore and joins them on the couch.

The sight makes me feel sick as I head back to my room.

Time goes on
And I'm still questioning everything
Some things have just happened
And I'm still not sure what to do
