Rory leads Marcus back towards the gates. She sends Bellamy a small smile when they pass him, Bellamy returning it and falling into step behind them making sure no grounders can sneak up on them. They quickly make their way up the path leading to camp, Rory animatedly catching Marcus up on her month in Polis. Marcus doesn't say anything, he just nods his head politely and tries not to look at the severed head that they are fast approaching.
Abby stands at the gates watching them intently. "Marcus." She says, as they reach her.
"Chancellor." He replies, a small smile on his face. Rory squeezes his arm one last time before letting go. She backs away from them, a knowing smile on her face, and falls into step beside Bellamy, the two of them making their way into the camp and leaving Marcus and Abby alone.
"I was afraid that I wouldn't see you again." Abby tells him.
"I had those fears myself." Marcus says. He looks away from her, taking in the sight of Alpha station once more. "It's good to see this place again."
"Can't be out in the open." Bellamy calls out. Himself and Rory are now joined by Clarke but, he still makes sure to stand a little in front of Rory, his hand still on his rifle. "We need to get somewhere safe."
An amused smile falls onto Marcus' face at Bellamy's protectiveness. "It's safe for the moment." He tells them. Marcus and Abby both start to make their way back inside the gates. "Come on. We need to talk. I managed to buy us a bit of time." He says to Abby, the two of them walking past the trio and heading straight for the doors leading to Alpha.
"All right, close it up! Let's go!" One of the guards on the wall shouts.
"Stay out here, keep an eye on things for me. If anything changes come get me straight away." Rory tells Bellamy. She doesn't wait for a reply, she just turns around and quickly jogs over to Marcus and Abby, settling herself on Marcus' right side.
The three of them quickly arrive at the main doors to the ship, Rory heading in first. It doesn't take long for them to weave their way through the corridors and reach the Council Room. On their way, when they pass a set of guards, Abby tells them to bring the prisoner to them. They hesitate for the briefest of seconds, looking to Rory but, when she nods her head at them, they leave.
"Where did they keep you?" Abby asks as they walk into the Council Room.
Rory heads straight for her throne, pulling it from the table and letting out a content sigh when she sits down. Kane pulls out his own chair, the one opposite to Rory's throne. "Uh, the commander's stronghold, I think. I wasn't a prisoner, but I wasn't allowed outside, either. Until they brought me up here last night with a bag over my head."
"You've been here since last night?" Rory asks, her eyes widening slightly. "Did you hear-"
"Whoever he is," Marcus cuts her off, "Roan must be very important to you."
