Wilbur PoV

OH GOD FORGIVE WHAT I'M ABOUT TO WRITE

I CAN'T GET JACK'S CHARACTER RIGHT

Wilbur looked down upon the ruined L'manburg, setting down the wheelbarrow of dirt he was carrying. After two explosions, one archery battle, and numerous fights, the newly freed nation was in need of just a little  rebuilding. Just a little.  Nearby, Tubbo ran by, laughing, as Tommy nailed him with a dirt clod.

"Hey, hey! Stop it, you jerk!" Tubbo giggled, snatching up his own chuck of mud. Tommy skidded to a halt, squeaked, and scrambled backward as the clod hit him in the face.

"AH, TUBBO, YOU PR***!" Tommy screamed. Wilbur shook his head fondly, wondering how they could still act so childish, even when their nation was shredded. Actually, he didn't mind. They'd been so grown-up and serious lately, being forced to be mature during the war. It was good to see them being able to relax for the first time in... Months.

As Wilbur picked up the wheelbarrow again, a cloud of pigeons erupted from outside the walls. Wilbur immediately dropped the wheelbarrow again, unsheathing his sword. Around twenty yards away, Tommy and Tubbo did the same, waiting, as the clip-clop of horse hooves and the tired panting of a person came closer and closer.

A relatively short man came into view, a dark gray hat on his head. He wore a blue and black striped shirt and camo cargo pants. The strangest part, however, was the red and blue glasses and the black headset the man wore. As he approached, Tommy ran forward, pointing his sword at the man's chest.

"AY, YA CO**!" The man yelled at the blond child. "Get out of my way, ya b*****."

Tommy blinked rapidly, but didn't move. "Who are you?" he demanded, poking the man's chest.

"Jack. My name's Jack Manifold, and I don't have time to deal with ye, child." Jack pushed the sword away, leading the horse into the town. "Who's in charge of this city, eh?"

Wilbur walked up to Jack, extending his hand. "I am. I'm Wilbur Soot, President of L'manburg."

Jack gripped Wilbur's hand, shaking it firmly. "I'm Ja-"

"I know," Wilbur cut him off shortly. Sir Manifold gave him a surprised glare, but Wilbur sighed. "Forgive our shortness, we just got out of a war."

"Aye, a war?" Jack asked, suddenly noticing the large crater. "Ay, that's a large crater!"

Over by the gate, Tommy and Tubbo shared glances. Jack Manifold, whoever he was, was certainly a unique character.

Sapnap's PoV

I am aware that Sapnap is not a bread baker.

I just enjoy talking about Sapnap's Whole-Wheat Bread :D

Sapnap walked down the hall towards the cell carrying two loves of bread. As he passed, two of the torch stumps flickered out and he made a mental note to replace them. Finally, he stopped in front of Shadow cell.

Inside, the black robed figure sat on the window cill, the only place she seemed to want to be. He knocked on the cell bars, holding up the bread. "Hey, Shadow. Brought you dinner." He placed a cooked porkchop on the plate before unlocking the door. Shadow didn't move.

"Did George tell you about the news?" he asked in an attempt to make a conversation. Shadow nodded once. "You can move into an actually room now," Sapnap cheered, trying to get her to do something.

"No." She said darkly, crossing her legs.

Sapnap blinked, confused. "Why? Is a cell better than-"

"I said NO, Sapnap!" she shouted, pitching a rock at his head. Sapnap yelped and dodged it before looking back at her, obvious bewilderment all over his face. "I don-" Shadow paused, taking a deep breath slowly. "I'm sorry." She replied softly. "My temper isn't exactly the greatest part of me."

Sapnap snorted. "Well, yeah, I didn't know. You legitimately slapped Dream." Shadow flinched.  "Anyways, here's your dinner." He placed the food on the cot and grinned at her. "I'm going to annoy George."

"Any askers?" Shadow replied, bored. Sapnap made a face and vanished down the hall.

Your PoV

As Sapnap left, you let out the breath you'd been holding since he'd come, replacing the book and brick. You had been trying to read the illegible handwriting when Sapnap had brought the food and quickly stuffed it behind your back. Thankfully, he hadn't noticed.

Outside, a screaming George ran by, chased by a grinning Sapnap, who spotted you. He paused his chase for a moment to wave, and you held up your own hand, smiling. Your grin faded when you spotted a certain lime green dog sitting on a log, watching the two goof-off. Your got his eye and the two of you glared at each other for a solid minute. Scowling, you turned around and jumped off the window cill, walking towards the food.

At least Sapnap made good bread. You wondered how much dough he made for all of these constantly-spawning loaves.

->->->->O<-<-<-<-

You cracked your neck, stretching, as the book fell to the ground. You'd been trying to read the writing since the evening, and it was now well past midnight. It seemed pretty smudged, with some pages ruined by water and others burned beyond salvation. Bending down, you picked up the book and was about to started flipping back to your page when something caught your eye. On one of the last pages, there was something actually readable...

Well, almost.

It wasn't a word, but more of a picture, a face. Your brow furrowed as you traced your fingers over it.

OOOo

I'm mad because I can't find ANY DSMP stuff from the past few weeks. It's like nobody even cares about it anymore :/

Still, Eggpire is freaking awesome. 10/10, fully support the egg.

Also, it'll have SUBSTANCIAL plot stuff with it.

Una For Tuna, that'll be MONTHS away :/

I just need to get to the election stuff.
