"Y/N?" Techno asked, stepping away and helping you up. "What are you doing here?"
You brushed yourself off and winced as you hit your broken ribs. "Earning my freedom by killing the child and Wilbur. I was here for supplies, got pulled into a war, was kidnapped by Dream, held prisoner for a month and a half, had my freedom dangled in front of me by Schlatt, and now I have to commit murder. Any questions?"
"Yeah, I have a few," he said, handing you a pink potion. You shook your head.
"Oh no. No healing potions. Those things suck."
"Why?"
"Smell terrible, taste like rotten caramel, and ugh, they bring back weird hallucinations. Really weird hallucinations." You grimaced. "Never touching one of those again." Wilbur walked over and crouched next to you, glancing at Techno.
"Hey, American, why haven't you killed her yet? Do you two know each other or something?"
"Yes," you replied at the same time Technoblade muttered, "No." You shared an annoyed look, and Wilbur blinked slowly.
"Noted." He glanced over at Tommy, who was slowly getting up and walking over. The child grabbed the healing potion out of Techno's hands and guzzled it in one gulp, burping afterward.
"Hey, child, why'd you attack me?" you asked, glaring at him. Tommy rolled his eyes.
"Wilbur's idea. He wanted you to either tell us what was going on in L'manburg or die." He sat down, tugging at a rock in the dirt. "Naturally, woman, they chose me to do it because I was the smallest, fastest, and f*cking best at it." You glanced at Wilbur, surprised, but quickly swiveled your attention towards Techno, who was studying you.
"What are you going to do?" he asked quietly. You sighed.
"Go back to L'manburg. I ha-"
"Stay with us," Wilbur said suddenly, barely muttering the words.
You whirled to look at him, extremely confused. "What? No, I can't. Dream's got me keyed to some kind of compass that always points to my location, and so it's only a matter of time before he finds me. Even now, I'm probably leading him right f*cking here."
Wilbur reached forward and grabbed your hands, surprising you. You jerked back, but he held on, keeping eye contact. "Then be out double agent. Help us. We're going to kill Schlatt and take back L'manburg."
You pulled out of his grip, shaking your head. "No, no, no, no. Schlatt- screw it, he's my responsibility. I helped him get voted in, I swore to stay by his side, he's my friend, I can't just turn around and stab him in the back without a reason. People would hate me for it, Quackity and George especially. I don't need that, Wilbur. I just- I just want to leave." You whispered the last sentence, rubbing the back of your neck. "I'll give you supplies, I won't tell anyone about your location, but I won't kill Schlatt or spy for you. That's too far."
Wilbur frowned, narrowing his eyes, but nodded. "Techno, help her back up to the surface. Then she can go find Dream and go running back to f*cking Schlatt. See if I care what happened to her." Tommy winced, but Wilbur turned around and marched off into the tunnels without another word.

Techno left you in the forest around twenty yards away from the ravine or 'Pogtopia', as he and Tommy referred to it. The moment he was out of sight, you slid to the ground with your back pressed against a tree, wincing as you took your hand off of your ribs. The fall into Pogtopia had broken them, but the fight with Tommy had also made you end up with a gaping wound right above the bones.
You leaned your head back, gasping for air and trying not to black out from the pain. The forest throbbed in shades of gray and red, and you closed your eyes, digging your hands into the leaf rot and gripping it tightly. The forest was filled with screaming crickets and they just got louder until it felt like your ears were filled with grasshoppers and cicadas shouting into your brain.
A hand gripped your shoulder suddenly, and you jerked your eyes open. Dream was crouched before you, a small compass clutched in his hand.
"What the f*ck happened?" he asked, noticing your chest wound and the cuts on your face and shoulders.
You winced as you stretched your legs out. "Tommy and Wilbur happened. The child- he was invisible- crashed into me and I fell into a ravine. Took me forever to climb out. I think my ribs broke."
Dream tilted his head at the wound and gently reached down and poked around it. You squeezed your eyes shut, wincing, but he nodded. "They are. Took me forever to find you as well. This damned mist has been making me go in circles." He held out a healing potion, but practically swatted it out of his grasp. "Oh, that's right. You have that problem with the smell." That and he was reminding you too goddamn much of Technoblade.
"Shut up and just give me a strength pot and that'll be fine." Dream hmmed but handed it to you. You drank half of it and dripped the rest onto your wound, grunting as it stung. After a few seconds, the stinging faded and you felt much better. Leaning against the tree, you slowly shuffled to your feet and glanced at Dream.
"Got a compass to lead us home?" Dream shook his head and you glanced at the misty forest.
"F*ck."
