Lisandra held tight to Zion's hand as he stepped out of the women's restroom first and pulled her along behind him, She didn't know exactly what it was but it was like the times Zion had touched her with that invisible force that felt like... Well, him. But this didn't feel like him and it was wrapped up tightly around him which caused a surge of something dark inside her, something that didn't want whatever was touching him anywhere near him. Was this why the mass inside of her was spilling out to push it back? It was a raw untapped power within her that yearned to be free, and while she would love to let it out without a care she was afraid of hurting others. She had seen what it could do, or at least what it was capable of and it scared her, until Zion showed her how to control it she was keeping a close eye on it so she could keep it in as best she could, which was pretty hard to do since it was so strong.
When the door was pushed all the way open she found her father standing a few feet away beside a beautiful black haired woman with piercing pale green eyes, her skin a perfect mix making it hard to tell what nationality she was. Behind her was Bex, the handsome half angel that her father had introduced her to earlier that day and insisted she get out of the house with. To be fair she had holed herself up in her room ever since grandpa Elios had told her what would happen if any other angels found out she was with Zion, She hadn't known what to do and she hadn't been able to think clearly.
The details he had told her were a bit gruesome and even then she shuddered thinking about it, lifting her gaze to her tall dark companion she looked at the small curls at the back of his neck and the tattoos disappearing into his shirt. She would do anything for him if he asked her to, that was why she thought breaking things off would keep the other angels from finding him. Just the thought of anyone hurting Zion sent a wave of agony crashing through her, her hand tightening on his as she remembered just how well he had taken her decision.
At first when she had felt the familiar caress of the darker power she had been overjoyed, turning her gaze to where she could feel him she was so excited he was there. Then his eyes had bled to black and his irises had turned red, she didn't need to be a genius to know he was beyond angry and she had guessed he was pointing it towards her. Now though she realized he had been acting out of fear of losing her and anger that she had tried to break up with him.
Lisandra had only ever seen his eyes change a handful of times and from that she could guess that they only shifted when he was pissed or... Excited. It was a little intimidating how possessive he was of her though he never let it get between them, he actually tried to hide it from her most of the time. She could only assume it was because she was a human, half human to be exact, since most people weren't too particular about possessive behavior, but she was beginning to see that it was part of what he was as a demon. Looking to her father she noticed the way his tense shoulders relaxed at the sight of them and he leaned over to the gorgeous woman.
"It's alright Elaina, he's..." He made an expression that said he was at a loss for words, a flare of annoyance surging through her.
"My boyfriend." She squeaked, the fear that clung to her that something would happen to him causing her voice to break. Zions fingers clenched around hers and he glanced back over his shoulder with a reassuring smile before looking back to the three who had all zeroed in on their joined hands, her heart leaping into her throat at the looks they gave them.
"Is this why you wanted my son to meet her?" The woman asked while behind her Bex looked extremely surprised that she would say something like that, His pale green gaze flicking between the two of them.
"I thought Lisandra would like to have a friend that doesn't discriminate about... Him." Faron motioned towards Zion who gently pulled her beside him so she wasn't hiding behind him anymore, wrapping her arm around his in a possessive gesture while the massive amount of power inside her writhed with her worry.
