"This isn't normal!" Lisandra whispered in concern while she watched him pick at the lock to the ice skating rink he had taken her to, it wasn't the one he often took her to, this one was a smaller one that he knew the owner of. However it would seem that the owner had shut up early so he had to resort to lockpicking.
"It's normal in human standards if I don't use my powers." He gave her a devious grin that she didn't quite return, instead she nervously pulled at his jacket.
"What if we get caught?" She worriedly glanced about the empty parking lot while he continued to pick at the old lock on the door above its handle.
"I bet you've never done a bad thing in your life." He teased, glancing back at her he let himself take her all in for a brief moment, her slender back to him as she kept an eye out, though at his teasing she jerked her head towards him.
"I actually have done something awful before." She muttered quietly while shifting from foot to foot, her mismatched eyes lifting to meet his.
"Oh? And what exactly did you do that was so bad miss goody two shoes?" He inquired out of curiosity, he highly doubted she had done anything as bad as what he was doin at that very moment and even that wasn't as bad as the other things he had done. She pursed her lips while looking around as if what she was about to tell him was top secret, finally turning her attention back to him she leaned in close so her lilac scent swirled around him, her orange gold locks brushing over the shoulder of his jacket.
"I cheated in dungeons in dragons once." She whispered, it took him a moment to realize what she had said before he belted out a laugh and dropped his head with his shoulders shaking from his laughter.
"Oh no, I never knew you were such a hardened criminal!" He said in a serious tone when his fit abated, her face scrunching up in offense to his obvious sarcasm.
"You don't get it! Our party was facing off with the BBEG and he let off this massive blast that would have TPK'ed us!" He glanced over his shoulder at her in confusion with her nerdish terms and at his confused expression she elaborated. "Big bad evil guy, Total party kill, it means he would have killed everybody in one go. My brother, knowing I'm into D&D bought me a weighted die for me when he came to visit as a gag gift of sorts. It was the only time I ever used it and I was able to shield the entire party from the blast."
"Sounds like you did more good than harm." He shrugged, watching as she arched a brow at him and scoffed.
"you're so naive." She sighed which forced a surprised little laugh out of him at her bold tongue. "I cheated them all out of the game experience, we were supposed to die! Everyone was under ten percent hp so there wasn't even a possibility we would have survived the blast the BBEG set off." She lifted her hands to her face. "Cheaters aren't accepted at tables because it makes the game less fun for everyone, I cheated so we could win the battle against the final boss." She groaned low before letting her head fall back. "It may not be as bad as breaking and entering." giving him a pointed look between the door where his hands were working on the lock and him. "But I still cheated." He opened his mouth to respond to her when all of a sudden the door was yanked inward and he was staring down the barrel of a shotgun which caused a shriek to escape Lisandra.
"You damn kids better get the..." The old wolves voice trailed off as Zion stood to his full height, his greying hair was slightly disheveled as it blew in the wind. The older gents amber gaze widened in alarm before he quickly lowered his firearm and took a startled step back. "Z-Zion! I didn't realize it was you!" He brushed a calloused hand over his thick Grey blond mustache. "I paid off my debt on time! I haven't done anything wrong." He said nervously.
"I'm not here to collect on anything Burt." Zion reached back and grabbed for Lisandra, her smaller hands grabbing onto his much larger one as her fear scent mixed with the wolves own anxiety. The older fellows eyes flicked to Lisandra then as wary relief flooded the poor sod, setting the gun inside the door out of sight.
