MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!!! I stayed up all night and all morning writing this chapter for you guys so I hope you like it!
Zion blinked his eyes open as he was shaken from his restless sleep on the planes flight, turning his gaze to find Alex standing and leaned over the seat to grasp his arm.
"The plane is letting everyone off." Sliding his gaze to penny as she stood beside Lisandra's brother while the other passengers scooted by them he groaned and rubbed at his eyes with the heels of his palms, standing to his feet he felt slightly better than earlier when they left the hotel. He still hadn't gotten all of his power back but it was enough he didn't need to worry about his wings coming out at any second, moving behind the two as they walked down the isle towards the dock he grabbed his bag from the to compartment before doing so.
After getting off the plane he checked his phone for any texts from his little human who was just as eager to see him as he was her, frowning when he didn't see any messages at all he slid the device back into his pocket. Walking with the two of them out of the airport after going through security and baggage claim he remembered he had ridden his bike to the airport, cursing under his breath as he looked at penny and her attire that looked more for summer than winter. Though it was just beginning to turn to spring it was still cold enough that she would need a jacket, putting her on his bike was out of the question.
"Alex, would you mind putting her in your car? Lisandra and I are going to my place to... Talk." Alex gave him a sideways glance but nodded reluctantly After looking over Penny's state of dress, motioning for the young girl to follow Alex he split off from them as he made his way to the back of the parking lot where his bike was. Sliding his leather jacket on as well as putting the strap of his bag over his chest he threw his leg over the motorcycle, pulling his keys from his pocket he started up the motor and kicked the stand back.
Alex would meet him back at the house with her, he'd worry about getting penny to the clubhouse after he settled things with Lisandra and he could give Zyr a heads-up about what was about to go down. Pulling out of the airport he followed the roads through the traffic till he reached the town unsure of whether or not Alex was close behind, he would get to the house one way or another and as much as he didn't want to let penny out of his sight Alex was... A better option.
It was a long ride to get from the airport to her brothers house but once he arrived he parked his bike on the curb, shutting the motor off while kicking the stand down he stood to his feet. It was eerily quiet in the neighborhood as he moved towards the house with a frown marring his features, as he stepped up onto the front porch he noticed the door was slightly ajar. Behind him he heard Alex's car pulling into the driveway as he pushed the door open slowly, the scent of blood flooding his nose which put him on high alert.
He held out a hand without taking his gaze from the dark insides of the house as Alex got out of his car with the sun just beginning to touch the horizon when he stepped inside. There were signs of struggle and what looked like a few splatters of blood lining the wall that thankfully held the scent of a human other than his Lisandra, moving around the couch he swore in demonic as he hurried over to the body sprawled out in the living room. Zyr's breathing was labored while his wide eyed gaze went to his, his hand grasping at his side where the worst injury was as blackened blood pooled under him where the wound was. There were various bullet holes that he looked to have already healed himself but something was keeping him from healing any further, it also looked like someone had tried to slit his throat but he had healed that up thankfully, the blood marking where he had healed.
There was a faint smell of magic coming from his skin that wasn't natural to him and he realized there had been a witch here, they had paralyzed him.
