Zion fidgeted as he watched Lisandra deboard the plane, he wasn't used to wearing clothes that let his wings out in the back so that he'd be recognized. The specialized shirt he had had in his closet gathering dust felt unfamiliar with its open back and sleeveless fit while the neckline cut off at his throat, his six massive wings feeling slightly constricted at the bases. But it was a requirement for all angels or demons attending this meeting with the hunters so that they wouldn't be mistaken for uninvited beings that might be in the area, not only that but they were required to at least wear a hunter's token, as they called them. Beside him Zyr wore what looked to be a regular dark blue shirt with sleeves that went down to his elbows while in the back were two long slits that let his wings out and a pair of black pants that showcased his long legs, the same token dangling from his belt as well.
Grimacing as he fingered the small golden medallion tied to his belt loop that Tike had sent over, he tried to forget how uncomfortable this was going to be, Zyr beside him perking up when he saw Penny step out from beside Lisandra and giving quite the disarming smile. He just hoped that Jax wouldn't burn anything down while he was gone with Titus and his brother, though with Etherious there now he was sure they'd be able to keep things in order.
His little halfling found him almost immediately and her inner light shone brighter upon seeing him, turning to penny to say something in English that had her silver eyes darting around the vicinity. She was human though so she wouldn't be able to see either of them with their glamor on, which meant that Lisandra, with her human side, must have been practicing hard with her father to train her abilities. However as if drawn to Zyr, penny looked many times in his general direction which seemed to make the lithe demon happy. Thankfully it looked like the two got along well after he introduced Penny to Lisandra and explained her situation. He felt for his friend then and wondered how he would handle her mortality, of course he was already looking into things with the witches that might help if he ever asked, he couldn't stand the feeling with Lisandra so he understood how anxious he must be feeling.
"How has she been adjusting?" Zion asked while sliding a glance over to the slender demon, his pale blue gaze never leaving the small human female.
"I've convinced her to take therapy." Zyr responded, his black wings shifting behind him in anticipation as Lisandra brought Penny towards them.
"That's good, I'm sure it'll help her after what she's been through." Zyr had immediately done a background check on her father and found an extensive gambling debt along with a lot of drunk and disorderly reports and a few domestic violence disputes, her situation had been far worse than what Zion could have guessed and he felt bad for the poor girl. Hopefully allowing Zyr to bring her with him and having her around Lisandra might give her a bit of a reprieve, it couldn't be easy for her to start over in a new country not knowing the language and having been forced from her home. He only hoped that she was getting along with his third.
"She's starting to be more at ease around me, though it's difficult for the both of us." Zyr's gaze darkened as he no doubt was thinking about Penny's past, his feathers ruffling on his six massive wings.
"I understand." Zion said quietly. "It's hard to stay calm when I think about the one who hurt Lisandra, even now I want to tear him to pieces." Zyr took his gaze off of Penny then to look at him. "I'm here if you need anything Zyr. Don't forget that." His friend blinked slowly before nodding, a soft smile curling up the corners of his lips as a melancholic expression crossed his features.
"Zion!" Lisandra slid her duffle bag behind her before throwing her arms around his neck excitedly, both angels throwing glamour over their counterparts so they wouldn't be seen, he didn't trust the hunters to not be crawling everywhere with the important event taking place soon.
