CHAPTER 3: A Hero Is Born

   The next morning, everywhere was a bit windy. Ella woke up and found herself in the woods, almost half naked. Her mouth was bloody, and she let out a sleepy howl.
Later, she was able to find something to cover herself and went home.

  She couldn't remember what happened the night before. Not even a single bit, as if her mind were completely blank like a fog.

A few minutes later, she finally got home without letting her sister or her dad know. Nevertheless, they were awake at that time and thought Ella was still asleep in her room.

   In her room, there were broken glasses on the floor. When Ella sees these, she cleans them up and has to find a way to replace the glass in her window before Mr. Joe finds out and gets angry at her. After some time, she took a warm bath and wore fresh clothes.

  When Ella looked down at the sword, she began to wonder, "Why? Why is this happening to me? Why would my boss give me this sword to release those spirit wolves and, at the same time, possess me and turn me into a monster? For what exactly?!"

  At least she could now remember what happened to her the previous night, but with frustration, she grabbed the weapon and left the house for the Attic Treasures junk store.

  While Ella ran, she began to feel strange and dizzy. Her heart started beating faster, which made her slow down. When she stopped, her entire body started to show black veins, and at the same time, she was gifted by the three spirit wolves with supersenses of sight, smell, and hearing. She also had the ability to run faster than before.

  When she wanted to cross the other side of the road, she jumped over a vehicle, and some people saw it. That showed she was flexible, too.

She finally reached the junk store, but unfortunately, it was closed.

    "Great! Now what?"

There was a loud explosion coming from a building blocks away.

   It didn't take long for Ella to get to the scene, and she saw two robbers carrying bags of cash into their black van. Yes, of course, it was a bank robbery. After the robbers escaped, something in Ella's mind was telling her to stop those criminals. Her inner wolf was ready for some action.

Without even thinking twice, she growled, and her eyes changed to a wolf's. She also chased after the vehicle and jumped on top, which made a thud sound that the robbers heard.

   "What was that?" asked the robber, who was driving the van.

     "Argh! Who cares?! Probably it's just the wind. Now drive faster!" shouted the second robber, holding his short gun.

  Ella used her razor-sharp claws to pierce through the roof of the vehicle and tear it open in order to make a big hole. The two bank robbers weren't the only ones inside. The third robber, who was counting the money at the bulkhead, saw a young girl trying to break in. She went inside and punched the guy unconscious.

  "Hey! Everything is okay back there?" asked the first robber.

  Ella jumped out of the van, went to the driver side, and said, "Hey fellas, you know robbing a bank isn't such a good idea." She tore the door down and grabbed the driver out.

  "What the heck do you think you're doing?!" asked the second robber, pointing his gun at Ella.

  The vehicle was going in the wrong direction by itself. The other robber tried to gain control of it, but suddenly it crashed against a fire hydrant. Police officers were nearby as soon as the criminals heard the sirens. They wanted to flee, but Ella stopped them using a rope she found in their vehicle and tied them up.

  After she left, the police came and saw the three robbers tied up. Later, they were arrested. The officers also saw the bags of cash that were stolen, and they wondered: who could have stopped those criminals? But in the end, none of them had a clue.

Three hours later, at Ella's house, Mr. Joe was watching the headline news as he relaxed on his favorite couch.

  "We just received that three individuals have been arrested for bank robbery. Police confirmed that the suspects were tied to a black vehicle with twelve bags of cash, which have been recovered by the authorities. No one knows who might have stopped them, but the investigation is ongoing."

  Ella was home when she heard the news and was proud of herself. She went into the living room where her father was, and the sword was still in her hands. About Eric, she had no idea where he could be.

She greeted her father and left for the kitchen to prepare breakfast for herself.
Luckily for her, the family doesn't know that she is now a werewolf or otherwise; that would have freaked them out, as she wouldn't know how to explain it to them.

  Few hours later,

"Protect this sword with all your might. Do not let it be in the hands of evil!" a voice said in Ella's mind.

  "If Eric should have this sword again, will he use it for evil? Nah, I don't think so. Not after I've helped him release those spirits. But I'm not really sure if the Demon Wolf would come for them and use them to take over the world," said Ella to herself, but she was only jumping to conclusions while holding the sword.

  Later that night, during the full moon, Ella thought of being a superheroine so that she could protect her city and the world. Even to stop the Demon Wolf from his evil plans, wherever he may be.

She brought out her sewing machine in her room and some leather and fabrics, which were stretch cotton coloured black, safety yellow, and red, in order to make her own costume.

  She made a domino mask, which was red, so as to hide her true identity. Long red boots with a yellow collar, a yellow belt with a red and black buckle, yellow knee guards, and two black-red hand gloves. She also added a double-armored bracelet coloured red and white.

She then sewed black colan pants, a red and black supersuit with yellow sleeves, and lastly, added a white-red shield logo that had a yellow wolf head on it. To her, it was amazing. She put on her costume and looked at herself in the mirror.

  "Now, I'm ready."

  Ella went outside to the woods, then to a cliff. She stood there with her knee on a rock at a 90° angle, shoulders back, and finally, a perfect time for her to howl at the moon.

Soon, the world was going to know that a new hero had been born.

  Meanwhile, at an abandoned factory, Eric gets to meet the immortal and nefarious being, who has desires to find the sword of the three wolves and wants mortals to be slaved.

And it was the one and only Demon Wolf. He only appeared as a dark wolf spirit and decided not to turn back to his human form again.

   "Ha! The almighty dark lord, I just knew you'd be here," greeted Eric as he bows before the Demon Wolf.

The dark spirit looked at him and asked in a deep, hollow voice, "Why do you ought to bow before me?"

   "Your evilness, I have come to ask for a little favor. I want a share of your powers so that I can get everything I always wanted," replied Eric. "After that, I promise you that I will serve you with all my might, my dark lord."

    "So, you are eager to serve me. Very well, you are going to be quite useful to me. Now listen carefully, mortal; your task is to retrieve the sword of the three spirit wolves. My senses were telling me that the spirits were unleashed, and I want you to get them for me so that I can get more powerful and control this world.
  Nothing will ever stop me from doing that. If you succeed in your task, then I will give you my share of my powers that will make you invincible," said the Demon Wolf.

  "Alright, my dark lord, I'll make sure that sword will be in your hands," replied Eric, smirking menacingly.

     "Yes, and you better do!" ordered Demon Wolf, and he disappeared.

Eric had already been overtaken by the sword's power, driven by his greed. He had held onto it for a long time. He knew the things that would happen if the three spirit wolves were free, like Ella's incident with the wolf transformation.
