"Omg, the struggle is real!"says Symone after only a three  minutes rest. It was 5:30 on the dot, time to get ready for school.

"Ughh!Im not going,"she said as she got up anyway and headed toward the bathroom.

She took a long shower  and it was hard to tell what was falling the most, the water or her tears.Getting out the tub,she dried her body and her crying face.

"You look bad,"she said looking into the mirror. "God please give me the strength to get through this  day."She took one last glance at herself, exhaled, and walked into the living room.

"Good morning  Mama,"said symone as she sat down on the couch.

"I dont speak  to disobedient  children,"said her mother Helen.

Symone  tried to ignore her and kept silent but she knew  what was about to happen."Why didnt you wash those dishes last night Symone?"

"You didnt tell me i had to Ma,and I wasnt feeling good."

"You're  just lazy Symone!!You wanna be Queen Elizabeth's  daughter, living all rich and refined. You're  never gonna be anything  if you can't  clean  up your own house."

Considering  the fact that her mother was unemployed, with four kids,a (disabled) husband, living at home with her mother, she she laughed . She thought to herself,"Well  if that's  the case,I bet you haven't  washed a dish a day in your life."

"What's  so funny?"Her mother shouted. "Nothing Ma, ill see you after school."she waved bye and ran out the door to the bus.
